Very well said, the two played superbly aside from the few UEs in a pretty balanced, quite beautiful yet draining out match, just somewhat mysteriously Saina was freezing at 15 while WSX made her great come back when all thought this match was Saina's one. Over all Saina looked fresher than Shixian today. Too bad, unlike chess game, there must be a winner in this match, if there's such option, i prefer a draw match today.
I must say WSX earns my respect and wins my admiration this time as never before - the ability to comeback from so far behind when all seems lost against a strong opponent, is the hallmark of a true champion. Excellent job, WSX ! I salute you !
Rhythm is crucial for top players, WSX simply applied a strategy called acceleration at the end of the game. That tactics is not uncommon. If you look at Lin Dan's games, he could exchanged the lead with his opponent before 17, after that, he accelerated suddenly and grab the game without formal notification.
I'm beginning to see WSX as a more calm and steady player than LXR - I hope LXR takes a leaf from her good friend. Even so, if only WSX possesses that proper smashing ability, the only weapon still missing in her arsenal, she would be a hell of a player.
Indeed both Saina and Shixian played very superbly today, one just hit slightly better while other did slightly worse at the end of the match to conclude a winner. But for sure both players should earn the praise and respect, and I definitely do.
I confidently say that having lacked of such vital ability will prevent her to be considered as the two topmost choices in the current composition of CHN squad, unless there's some unseeable event.
Not sure what the dispute is about, HKV protesting insistently, even Kenneth Jonassen is talking to the tournament referee.
HK moved before Tommy served, Tommy made a bad served that got killed by HK and the umpire called a let. Should have been a point for Tommy IMO.
The Luo sisters made a pay back to Pedersen/Juhl in full, a complete reversal of DO: 21-15 21-10 in 0:43
Missed this one earlier, still a surprise to see the Chinese Taipei pair overcame the Malaysian rising duo MD - Lee Sheng Mu/Tsai Chia Hsin [3](TPE) bt (MAS) Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong: 19-21, 21-18, 21-14 in 0:49
