i poked it repeatedly with a certain ballpoint pen, diameter just exactly matches the grommet hole on racquet.
I used nail clippers for pulling and manipulating. The flattened ones are especially hard indeed, even caused me to scratch my AT700 . But it's covered by the strip anyway .
Bought it at RM50, really expensive for a pair and it's version 4. I think should be able to fit into my NS9900. What is the difference between these 4 version in the pic? The grommets holes sizes are the same.
Bought online from FB: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/William-Sports/119865601367271?ref=ts Cheers
Got additional sets for my 2nd NS9900, Ti-10, NS9000 and Arc 8DX. Guess I need to sell off the additional one. I will post my NS9900 pic in a short while. P.S. How to delete attachment once uploaded? Thanks.
I am thinking of getting these grommets for my 2xAT700LTD, which set do I buy for this racket ? And also is there any of these grommets that would fit the SW35 ? Cheers
ld rules: i suspect only the 2 grommets (u shaped) will fit, i haven't but when i restring i will try it. fyi, it's a pain in the ass to get the original grommets out.
for the grommets, the cheapest and fastest place to get is shuttle house. a pack of 6 continuous grommets and the 2 u shaped grommets cost approx $19 SGD, this after paying the extra high exchange rate charged by your credit card. ps. a pack of 6 continuous grommets = 4 pairs
I'd get the ones that say AT700 on them (see post #1 pics 1 & 3; you can order them along with your long overdue strings at the same place although I see they don't have the W-3 set?? Best to ask in any case, otherwise where 3radius says ...) Oh yeah: sohubuy also has(had) them ...
The AC416L/W-3 fit ALL VERSIONS of the AT700 since they are all of the same exact mold anyway. For those who are having trouble removing the old damaged grommets from the racquet, have you tried or thought of using a simple plier
I found them, 416-L3 or something. $19 Inc shipping w/ tracking. I will order them in due course. Maybe with some LN strings aswell. Or possibly Zymax.
Ok whats the difference between L3 and W3 (sorry I am rubbish when it comes to grommets and stringing hence all the questions) I was thinking that it would be possible to take the old grommets out with a ball point pen, is that possible ?
You "need" both the L- and W-3. The L's are the 6's and the W's are the 2's. The W's go in first: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...yle-grommets&p=1523676&viewfull=1#post1523676
yes ball point pen is the safest way without damaging the frame, specialised tools also works but they cost a bomb.
