YONEX RIO GP-Entry List and Draw

one of the most important tourney of 2015 in real terms. As big as AE, SC, SSF and WC. Defo bigger than all SSPs and SSs bar AE.

kudos to Manu/Sumeeth. Disappointing that none of our Oly probables will play there. Hope MnS do well. Jai Ho.

Yeah, having played a competitive tournament and winning it on the same venue before Olympics will help a lot. What say????

Yeah. Weather, environment, hotel, air, stadium AC, understanding of drift etc.
Surely these things taken individually sound small. But they all add up.
Shows how serious LD is about HT. He is someone who always skips SSPs like they are riff raff tourneys, and he is playing a GP there.

MS Seedings:

1)Lin Dan
2)Chou Tien Chen
3)Hsu Jen Hao
4)Pablo Abian
5)Misha Zilberman
6)David Obernosterer
7)Osleni Guerrero
8)Milan Ludik

Draw Date: 3 November 2015

Overall it's lack of participant but Lin Dan participation definitely will boost this GP profile since Riocentro 4, Barra is Rio 2016 venue, so this is OG test event.

According to M/Q report version 1, MS discipline consists 34 participant, WS (22), MD (16), WD (11) and XD (19).

MAS only have independent Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong to participate, their only strong opponents will be pairs from IND, CHN, GER and TPE...

Well, there's still one more day to withdrawal deadline of Nov 1...;)

But if he really goes, that's saying a lot about his determination and intention.

Chou Tien Chen,Hsu Jen Hao withdraw,Lin Dan left all alone with nobodies.

Sundis, your dream final goes out of window as Chou Tien Chen in no mood to complete 24 hr journey to Rio.

No it shouldn't be a 24 hr journey from Tpe to Rio.. But yes of course he has been playing a lot tourneys lately and the signs of fatigue obviously got better of him at sarbrucken

Yeah he seems to be desperate and this also should set alarm bells ringing for others as master Dan would be in no-nonsense all business mood at Rio obviously
It'll be really interesting to see if CL trains to master in some other tactics/techniques to deny his compatriot for 3OG gold
