Did Wang Yi Han just lose? How dare she do that when I am out of the stadium and no chance to take pictures of it!

Tee Jing Yee wears a knee support in her leading leg. Hope it is not a serious thing.

Chen Long through, battling hard to defeat Rajiv Ouseph, 19-21 / 21-10 / 21-14. And at adjacent court his girlfriend lost first game, 16-21.

Another second round losing after last week CHN Open for Wang Shixian, 16-21 / 21-9 / 15-21. Liu Xin will be the last hopeful for CHN in this SS who will meet either Mitani or Porntip tomorrow.

What a tight first set in the mixed doubles game between Fuchs/Michels vs. LYD/LSH.

Meanwhile the young Dane Axelsen won in straight games over Brice Leverdez with 21 - 7 / 21 - 14

Wang Zhengming after avenging his defeat on K Momota yesterday, today tamed Boonsak Posana. By right, that should be a good sign but knowing WZM, it's hard for me to say how far he'll go here.

Wow, congrats to Tee Jing Yi for defeating Wang Yihan (2) 21-19, 14-21, 21-15.

Liu Xin did well to dispose of compatriot Wang Shixian (1) 21-14, 9-21, 21-15. And as pointed out, she remains the only WS from CHN to continue the fight.

Earlier Sun Yu, who many thought is a good prospect, lost to Nozomi Okuhara of Japan, 21-18, 20-22, 21-16. She missed the chance to win in straight games.

My 'why oh why' isn't so much a question as an expression of disappointment, frustration and inability to understand her.

BP is a disappointment. Somehow he seldom fares well against CHN players. But he did beat Gao Huan convincingly 21-11, 21-16.
