Honestly after Ng Tze Yong lost in 3 sets I thought Loh Kean Yew would win easily but he lost in 2 sets. Which is really unexpected. I think BAM should really pay close attention to Tze Yong, his technical skills is very good,he just need to bring up his energy levels.

It happens bro. Everyone has their day. But nothing to take away from Loh Kean for his WC exploits. The guy deserves credit for it.

You can't judge like this. Every player has different skills . Ng Tze Yong's game , i felt little bit all round but he is lacking of stamina .

I root for both LZJ and Tze Yong to be spearheading the Malaysian badminton squad in the future.
Tze Yong definitely needs his potential to be untapped. Maybe both of these guys could learn from each other to mitigate their particular weakness.

Yeah yeah, it's definitely Sen's day today.
But I wouldn't be surprised if Loh's WC exploits ended up being a flash in a pan. Like, a real flashy one.

Yes same, because I feel they have the opposite problems. Lee Zii Jia's stamina is good but tactical is not so good but Ng Tze Yong is good at tactics but not so good physically. I think BAM should get them to train together as soon as possible and hopefully they can help each other.

Even if it does, not many can say and be proud of being a World Champion haha. But I want him to be stronger coz MS needs players like him, Lakshya and othe young players. Would make the field more interesting.

I hope he's not turning out to be like CTC. He kind of is.
Relying way too much on his physicality & speed, intelligent players would read him like a book eventually.

    Very happy for India today.
India won 2 titles. So did Thailand. And 1 title for singapore.
Lakshya won by beating the world champion, no less.
And Chirag S/ Satwik R won by beating super legends.
    So great day for India.

Lakshya won!!! Two title wins for India. Great day.

What an entertaining match it was.

He had to play two three-sets matches on saturday and friday and also had a finger injury in second set.

    Great!

Congrats to LKY too! These two can be in top ten soon.

some players are big-tournament players and are more inconsistent / lose motivation at the smaller tournaments (not saying this is the case for LKY but its a possibility), ala carolina marin.

' Big Tournament Players ' phrase used for those players who played well for multiple Big Tournaments. LKY won World Championships last year. Before that, he never had any such triumph. So, he won't be considered as Marin or Sindhu. They both are Big Tournament Players.

Yeah, but just by a bit.
Most of the new crops of players aren't that technical anyway, if I'm being honest.
