Yonex to finally "RESUME" production of the Power Cushion 65Z Badminton Shoe

No doubt folks have noticed the absence of availability for Yonex's flagship badminton shoe for nearly half a year. Yonex apparently halted all production after that QA issue that cropped up over the summer. This also is the reason behind the delay of the VA colourway that was announced.

My current pair is ready for the scrap bin so April can not come soon enough for this shuttler.

They could just release new design lol
 
What was the issue? Ive been using my 65z4 for the last year and it’s only now that they’re starting to break.

Here's a link to their announcement about QA issues. I don't think it mentions halting production but apparently that's what happened.

I've had a seam open on the upper near the inside toe box after 8 months with my pair. I would have been fine buying a new pair at this point but they have been sold out for awhile. Doubt we will see a refresh on them for 2026. Even the catalogue has the current ones listed. I really like the look/feel/performance of the current gen so i'll be first in line to pick some up when they are available.
