that what i said earlier.. on website, it just can be strung with 30lbs maxs.. but apacs printed until 35lbs at the shaft.. on information section..
Not many heard about APACS in India. Any shops where I enquired do not sell APACS. Hearing all the good reviews, I ordered 3 rackets for me (Tantrum200, Zslayer(Taufick) & lethel90) from Malaysia. Today it rached home. I need to go and check them in the eve. I am excited!
hey there, currently i've been using a few different apacs rackets.. i'm a power smasher so i love love racket that are slightly head or handle heavy plus with a god price too.. so here's my short review on my rackets NANO POWER RED- a 4U racket, at first i tried it with an overgrip.. too balance lost a bit power on smashing but superb control on the net.. w/o overgrip the rackets felt a head heavy so smashing becomes great w/o losing the control on net 9/10 LEATHEL 9 - 4U racket, felt a bit head heavy, great whipping sound when smashing but too much vibration on the head - rubish on net control.. you shouldn't buy this i sold mine already 6/10 STERN 110- 3U distinct head heavy racket, compact powerful for smashing.. clears easily.. net control is quite okay.. because of heavy head, slicing, cross court smash/drop becomes easier to control 9/10 LURID POWER 21 - 4U a special kind with a switchable weight on the handle, you can change the weight on the handle by switching the apacs logo(it is made out of lead) on the handle to make it handle heavy.. very very good on smashing and clears ( my jump smashes are steeper now as i can flick my racket head much faster) .. net control we're very good.. balance racket for offensive play both at the back and front court.. my fav so far 9.5/10 hopes this helps u guys =]
.. received my new Visible Hollow 1800 Finally I got it. First impression - solid, head heavy (more than T200), very nice details in the paint job (but still I like my VH1700 more), 'box' type frame has same width like T200 but it has AMP kind of waves on the outer diameter from 9:30-2:30 o'clock. All of them (VH1800, VH1700 and T200 has same frame design at the along the 12 o'clock - lateral grooves to generate power (good to see that), gives good bounce effect on the shuttle from the string bed at 26lbs, cannot feel much vibration, seems to me it has a potential to become a power racket and I do not need to buy 3U Yonex AT900 power. more details after I play with it ..
Oh yeah!!! Just got my Lethal 90 from http://www.apacs-sports.co.uk/catalog/index.php Bought it last monday and got it today (tuesday). Good service from apacs sports uk! 1 apacs lethal 90 (stringed), 1 tshirt, 2 grips, 1 socks for only £50. Share some of the photos here,
Yes, their service is really good. I asked for free grip but they gave all these instead! Will definitely recommend them.
However, I have found another website selling Lethal 100 for RM310 (£60)... This might be a better choice...anyone tried Lethal 100?
heheh, i got 120632, 649 and 696 sitting here. What do you think of the balance? I'm having a hard time getting the head heavy part, to me they feel more of an even balance. Maybe it's a weight issue though, since i also use the 70gm Karakal mtec 70, which has a rated bp of 295-300 but it plays so darn fast despite. I need to get the grip sized right too, apacs G2 is way too small for me, used to 3 5/8 with an extra overgrip, so that will most probably leave me with a heavy yet headlight setup, opposite of my light but head heavy karakals...
I can tell its a head heavy racket the first time i hold it, and after 4 hours play, it is head heavy! It is quite stiff to me which I dont quite used to. The smashes are so sharp and quick! It also significantly improve my backhand play... Seriously I think the racket is way better than my other rackets (head p. metallix 10000, yonex 100limited...)
I think those who do not like head heavy but need shock absorption capability, VH2000 is a better choice. VH1800 gives hell lot of power but sometime people might find it difficult to maneuver and get tired easily by long rally in a doubles game. VH1800 is excellent for singles game. Its string bed has good repulsion, so easy to clear and head heaviness helps to execute steep and powerful smashes. Overall after first day of playing with VH1800 here is my comparison with others -
Thanks for the review. In direct comparison with at900p, is the vh1800 more difficult to maneuver than at900p? Which is more head heavy? Thanks
i just found out that low-end APACS racquets come with 1 to 1 exchange or 50% off 2nd piece if broke by the user itself like clashing Edge Saber 10 is one of them
Won't be getting it for another couple of weeks. I'll be getting the Lethal 70 + Tantrum 300 for about 152 US dollars. What do people think about this deal?
Hi sxg 2009, Thanks for the great review So you rated Nano 9900 p very high impact shock compare to T200 Is the VH1700 have anti vibration cap? do you play double or single games?
