Hi, Do anyone know how to store the string so that it can be kept in good condition as I bought 200m of zymax 65? I'm worried because if I open the package and I didn't keep it properly, the string might be oxidized or something. Please let me know if you know the methods. Cheers
Had my VT80 strung with white ZM65 today at 23/24.3 lbs (10.5/11 kg). It's AMAZING! Incredible power and control! And the sound is just awesome! Huge OOOOMPH for every smash. Previously the racket was strung with BG66 Ultimax at the same tension - zm65 is just much much better in every way. Played both with plastic birdies and with feather - the string performed equally excellent in both departments.
Shinichi, look closer, i wrote - white zm65 ) well as it was stated previously, it's not really snow white, it's more of a naturural bonish color visor, oh i don't know about that. play with plastic a lot and also don't wanna lose in durability that much. and anyway i'm a perfectly happy fella with zm65 and i'm gonna settle on it for now)
my zm65 snapped today. also the mains have been moving around quite a lot which is rather unpleasant. well let's hope it's just a one-time case coz such durability isn't really acceptable.
I had my zymax 62 in my f9 and the racket was really nice, super powerful and like it very much, i heard zymax 65 softer than zymax 62??
The mains on my zymax 65 were always moving whenever I used it. And with such a thin string you can't expect much durability from it.
well i played with 66 ultimax for almost a month and it was fine. i have vs850 on bravesword now and the mains are moving too. have to just live with it i guess )
After ~25 hours of play, my ZM65 (originally strung @ 25lbs) are starting to give up. Couple of frays & my smash is down on power. As it's the silly season, I think I'll try some ZM62 next. However, will probably go for 65 when matches start again in September.
^ What colour? I've notice my red 62 @23lbs is fraying a tad at centre after about 35hrs play. Frequency is only down 50hz compared to first 2 wks.
My ZM65s are yellow. Am not too surprised though. 67s went soft at 30-something hours. Personally, 25 hours is a good month's play & at less than £4/set, doesn't cost the earth. Will be interesting to see how long my 62s are useful. I suspect it'll be somewhat less than 20 hours play. Only losing 50Hz over 35 hours play is excellent. You must hit far cleaner that I do!
Haha... yeah, either that, but I think the stringer (RKEP Eric) is excellent and I'm also using lower tensions.
I was pretty much sold on the zm65, until I hit a peach with zm62! That sound! Only strung at 22lb too, but easily best sound I've heard from a racket. Good stuff, needs durability testing a bit more though but should be fine at my low tension. Zm70 at 26lb has just taken a step back in my list of strings to try in the new racket.
