So tension is proportionate to mediocrity? I had no idea my worth and abilities were intrinsically linked to the tension of my badminton strings. Thanks for clarifying that.
Missed my point. Please re-read. I'm pretty sure at least 95% of people would not have interpreted my comments like you have.
Btw, for those who just bought your VTZF2 from Japan, how many of you have to pay the duty fee or custom fee or tva stuff?
I surveyed the same non-people that you did, and 95% of them agree that you have the social skills of an autistic hamster.
My VZF II have pieces of metal or wood placed under the string at 12 o clock position. Is that normal?
Its my first time I saw a racket with a piece of wood under the string I'm confused with that I don't know if that's normal or not... But I don't think that's normal... correct me if I'm wrong
Thank you. When i ask one of the older badminton players at my gym he told me that it was to prevent the sharpness of the string from damaging the grommets and the racket head. To me that kinda make sense, especially with thin strings such as the Nanogy 98 I’m using….
grommets are easily replaced on "traditional" rackets, not sure how much it would cost or how it easy would it be to do a zforce II though..
Old school stringers often do that. It's some kind of foam that they usually put on the first bottom grommets (never seen it on the top of the racket). The 2 reasons they do that is to protect the racket and to improve performance. It is not necessary at all nowadays. Rackets construction is very good and Yonex introduced their double grommets (I believe with Muscle Power rackets) to kind of replace that. As for impact on playability, it shouldn't have any or much impact.
