Okay, I understand why they picked Tanongsak over Tommy. Tanongsak has a 3-0 record against Ajay, heading into this match. It was a good decision by the coach, even though Tanongsak overall had a lousy tournament. For whatever reason, Tanongsak's style is very effective against Ajay. Ironically, Ajay had one of the best tournaments among Men's singles players based on his record. Tanongsak had one of the worst records among the Men's singles players. And yet, Tanongsak won the most important match of the entire tournament.
Great tournament and great production. I hope next year, they can bring on the best players in the world like they did this year. This year, they had the Olympic Gold and Silver medal winner for WS (Marin and Sindhu), the Bronze medal winner for MS (Viktor), and the Silver medal winner for MD (Goh and Tan). Plus, there were many other top players such as Jan O' Jorgensen, Saina, Son Wan Ho, Sun Ji Hyun, LYD, Tommy Sugiarto, etc. If they can bring in the top players next year as well, I would love to watch next year's tournament. And thanks to Badmuse for his video streaming links and updates throughout the tournament!
Wanted AJ to win, but as I told ya Tanongsak is tricky and the choice of TS over TS was effective Congrats Chennai, it has been fab 2weeks, thanks to all the organizers, broadcasters, BAI members and sponsors to keep as entertained in this otherwise dull season! Intriguing badminton action, packed with vibrant emotions, Smacking smashes, jawdropping moves and most of all great team spirit! How wonderful to watch players celebrate and have fun with those of other nations which is otherwise a rare occasion! From players learning new language, singing and dancing Indian music, clicking crazy selfies and tons of backstage - behind the scene action! PBL season was certainly a Grand Success! Great camera angles, technical introductions, and flawless broadcasting. See ya guyz in the next tourney
For me prannoy is the better pick above sindhu for the super player. not happy by these awards nor do i agree Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Neat presentation. Mads Kolding got Maruti Swift car. Sindhu got Maruti swift car for their top smashes in this league. Prannoy received the player of the tournament award of 1,00000 rupees. Runner up team received 1.5 crore rupees and WINNER team received 2 crores rupees.
That's actually not bad! 1.5crore vs 2 crore, runner ups at 75%, not half like superseries! That's actually very comforting if you ask me.
So so so wanted Mumbai to win... but well, the Adcocks must be doing something right even with the constant flick serve I guess.. From the looks of things, Zieba really deteriorated a lot, the guys had to defend her share of the court as well. Guess that's what did Mumbai in.
