I think it is more to do with fact that Chinese, Korean and Japanese players refused to participate in the tournament. Teams would have opened their arms, certainly, if they had a Lin Dan but that was not to happen. Moreover, Indian players are a safer bet - since it is more likely they will continue playing in the league in future - which can't be said about a foreign player. IMO the organisers and the franchisee are first trying to establish IBL in India first, than worry about its reception in other countries.
Don't be too confident Srikanth. That happened to Sindhu as well. So, be ready. Jayaram is very deceptive and a very good player and have a vast experience.
Goh-Lim lost to a made up pair of Kido-Boe???? I know both Kido and Boe are great doubles player but they are too very contrasting players which (I hope so) were never paired together before. Wonder what happened!
