It's a bit sad that YY has gone downhill like she has. Feel a bit sorry for her. She was always smiling on court before, now less so.
Even though I'm not a big fan of Yu Yang and TYT, I sort of hope Yu Yang can find redemption in a Gold medal this year.
In WD, partnered with Du Jing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics "A doubles specialist, Yu and her regular partner Du Jing have steadily emerged as one of the world's elite women's doubles teams since 2004. They confirmed this status by winning the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing over Korea's Lee Kyung-won and Lee Hyo-jung. Their other titles have included the Polish Open (2004): the China Masters (2005); the Asian Championships and Swiss Open in 2006; the Russian, Hong Kong, and Indonesia Opens in 2007; and the French, Korea, and Singapore Opens in 2008. Yu and Du were bronze medalists at the World Championships in 2006, but were unable to play in the tourney's 2007 edition. They were runners-up at the prestigious All-England Championships in 2008, but avenged that loss by beating their All-England conquerors in the Olympic final. Yu has also enjoyed recent success in mixed doubles with He Hanbin. They captured titles at the Badminton Asia Championships and the Thailand and Denmark Opens in 2007; and the India, Swiss, Malaysia, and French Opens in 2008. They finished in third place at the Beijing Olympics, making Yu one of only two players to win two medals at the competition." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu_Yang_(badminton)
Right, TYT smashing and quickly covering the open court. But she must also be able to do front court duties now and then when YY is pushed to the back.
YES Justin then don't miss the finals tonight http://www.volleymasters.ch/en/schedule#/d20160605 Then the over one-month long WGP 2016 - esp. Group 1 ... kicks off on June 09 http://worldgrandprix.2016.fivb.com/en/preliminary-round-group1
When Tang Yuanting becomes a complete doubles player, she is truly champion material, whoever partners her is fortunate. The other star-in-the-making is of course Chen Qingchen, I repeat.
This incessant chanting for indonesia while none is competing in this final today. These fan they just want to let off steam aren't they
For the next two months when Yu Yang recovers from whatever that's bothering her, this CHN pair is fearsome.
Not seen Yu Yang played since AE in March and I have to say she has lost some weight and look fitter. Anyone notice?
