I’ll be on a “trip” and need something that won’t be super dead in a month. I won’t be playing everyday seriously or anything but during the days I’ll play, I’ll need a semi responsive stringbed so it’s not a terrible experience overall. This is gonna be really a hard pill to swallow given my habit of cutting every few days. So far I could only think of 65ti and No.1 since they kind of flatline after a bit. Any recommendations? Nothing too thin btw that has a chance to get worn down and snap.
I wanted to reccomend apacs virtuoso pro 68 but i realized ur not much of an apacs guy Sent from my SM-J320F using Tapatalk
80 Power goes wonky after 8-10 hours of play usually. Experience after using 200m reel of it recently.
My big issue with zymax has been that it never felt alive in the first place albeit pretty much unbreakable durability wise. That's the way I'm swinging atm as well. Was also thinking about some other stuff.
I'd say NBG98, no. 1, or zymax 66 fire power. I've had good results with all of them, but then again, I'm not very picky. My personal pick is NBG98, hits hard and feels all right.
Yeah 98 has been out of stock forever and I'm not about to take a gamble of the parcel arriving on time or not from Hong Kong. We'll have to see I guess. Probably gonna be no.1 if not one of the higher indestructible zymax strings.
IMO you are asking the wrong question. If you string over 30 lbs, every string will be dead within in 2 weeks FME. I had the same issue when I used 14kg and above (around 31-32lbs) for years and never found a string which I could keep for more than 2 weeks at this tension. I tried all of these in the past years to overcome my problem: BG66UM, BG65, BG65TI, BG80, BG80P, NBG98, NBG99, ZM62, ZM65, ZM67, ZM66FP, ZM69F, RX110, Gtone 9 VS800, VS850, LN1, LN5, LN7 and some Adidas strings. Result was always the same. The felt dead after 2 weeks or earlier which equals around 18 hours or less on court. The solution for me was to lower the tension. If you go close to the limit of eleasticy of each string you need to cut it earlier, because it will turn out dead too quickly. I dropped my tension to 13kg (28,6 lbs) and gave a lot of strings a try again. The best result was with BG80 which gave me 4 weeks. No surprise to me. I think you should also ask about the tension and not only the string type. My advice to you would be: Travel with 3 rackets with BG80 at max. 29lbs, no PS. You should get playability for 30 days with ease. 2 would be borderline...one is impossible. IMO the string just help a bit. The main key is lowering tension regardless what everybody recommends of superhuman hype-strings...past 30, they will all be dead pretty fast. How many hours you wanna play within 30 days is also a big variable and will determine how long the string will be playable. I stick now with a lower tension and will never look back.
Yeah I'll definitely be going for lower tension. Can't carry more than 2 as I'll be buying one there (another 88s) as well so that's probably about it. You also had a brief stint with Li-Ning No.1 no?
I used No.1 a few times, but broke it too easy or it dropped too much for me so I needed to cut it much earlier than BG80 or even BG80P. Also No.1 never fit to my controlled attacking playing style and slicing. I never found anything special in it, which was more superb compared to BG80. Okay, Repulsion...but that's it. Feelwise...I need to string No.1 higher than BG80. So I never understand the huge praising fan-base.
The way you break strings you should be carrying at least 5 rackets in your bag. You're going to Japan right? Why not try out their stringers there?
Have it either prestretched or prestring at higher tension or find some string brands such as Kizuna that can lock the tension for at least 2weeks without play. Sent from my FRD-L19 using Tapatalk
with swsh's current luck I'd say getting even 5 sessions out of those would be a stretch. Forget clothes, just pack a whole carry on full of racquets.
Might as well invest in a shop itself so I can grab whatever I want whenever I want easily. Can never be too sure right?
