Hi all. I just want to know about APACS Nanotech 700 Limited, is it same with APACS 080808 Olympic Dragon Limited...? Thanks.
APACS Nanotech 700 Limited as same as APACS 080808 Olympic Limited What do you think same? Nanotech 700 Limited = ES 10 or 080808 Olympic Limited = ES 10?
Does anyone know if the Apacs Nano 9900 (aka Nano Power 9900) is comparable to the actual Yonex Nanospeed 9900? I understand the Apacs N9900 is basically a clone of YY's Nano9900, however I would like to know if they actually weight the same, feel the same, etc. In Canada here, we don't have a showroom or shop carries Apacs but buy it thru online so I really can't test it out myself personally. I tried my friend's Nano9900 and it feels extremely great compared to my current Armortec 300. I realized I want to get a racqet lighter than what I am having now, such as the nano9900. That's the reason why I am looking for something comparable to the nano9900 but not breaking my bank at the same time. Thanks
I always feel that APACS clone are only the same with their Yonex counterpart in terms of cosmetics (design and color). If it is exactly the same, why not sell for much more instead of up to 1/7 the price of the original ? Also, remember that their original series like the AMP, Tantrum and Visible Hollow are selling for much more, there must be a good reason for it.
I believe that Apacscanada.com has a warehouse where you can actually look at the racquets. You should try emailing them. According to Yahoo maps it's only about a 25 minute drive to Markham ON.
I emailed them and they said they have no warehouse so I can't really test it out before I make my purchase. That's the down side on the Apacs Canada.
The quality of the product usually does not influence the market prices. It is the demand for them, and most people (admit it) buy Yonex because it is more of an "accepted" brand of badminton.
Bummer! Sorry for the misinformation. There is a thread about the Apacs Nano 9900 Power here: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68805 One guy said that it was balanced to slightly headheavy so it may be more headheavy than you are looking for. One guy said that it's about 90% as good as the Yonex Nanospeed 9900. I'm guessing that it will look the same as the Yonex but won't play exactly the same. In general, the Apacs clones aren't as good as their own designs. If you are looking for a light, fast, powerful and inexpensive racquet, I've heard great stuff about the Apacs Tantrum 11 (CA$78): http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68610&highlight=tantrum+11 Also the Apacs Furious 767 is supposed to be pretty light and fast.
I understand that you can have a shitty product and as long as people are willing to pay top $$$, why not ? But I also believe that quality comes at a cost, and to the discerning consumers, they are willing to pay extra $$$ for real quality instead of perceived quality. In the case of APACS, my opinion is that their clones doesn't play the same as their original counterparts and the reason why they priced their original design more is because of the quality, R&D and also the higher cost of raw material they used.
i believe that they used to, but then, they apparently downsized a bit. i would not worry about it though.
I agree with teoky that apart from cosmetic, Apacs clone does not performs like the original version. They are mostly generic rackets with different paint job. Check out their specs : http://cgi.ebay.com/APACS-NANO-9900-POWER-NANO-900-POWER-BADMINTON-RACKET_W0QQitemZ150350419157QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item23019554d5&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 [FONT="]http://cgi.ebay.com/APACS-EDGESABER-10-AND-NANO-9900-BADMINTON-RACKET_W0QQitemZ150350200312QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item230191fdf8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 However, Apacs do also have their original line that is worth looking into. I ended up purchased the Apacs N9900. I still haven't try it yet because it's in a shop and doing the stringing. However I kinda feel bad after reading all the comments from you guys because I can expect my apacs n9900 will just perform like a generic racquet, nothing close to the original YY n9900. Not to mention the shop that I dropped off my racquet was giving me attitude because the apacs n9900 I gave them is a clone of the YY n9900. When I told them the tension that I need for the string, they replied,"25lbs? Oh good, so it'll break and change a new racquet faster." They were dissing the brand, racquet and me. Meh Anyone here from Canada, Toronto want to know which shop I went to? hahahah let me know
What an experience with the shop... But he is telling the truth. Which racket will not break faster at higher tension. At 25lbs... It is not high tension at all. I should start a thread on "What tension are your Apacs racket". As I told you, personally I never tried the Yonex NS9900. So I can't really compare on them. But if you think the racket is really off the spec. or your expectation. Let me know.. I'm sure we can arrange something for you. By the way, which string did u put in?
Hi ApacsCanada, thanks for your response. I haven't try out my racquet yet as I just picked it back up from the shop today. Will probably try it out on Saturday. I'll keep you updated on the status. Thanks again. By the way, I promised myself I'll never go to that shop for anything again, you know which one I am talking about, ApacsCanada. I've warned all my friends for their horriable customer service. BG80, 25lbs
