Just got a Armortec 250 limited and loving it It had a complete different feel to my Carbonex 7000DF My shots were all too over-anticipated Can anyone one tell me what the perfect string for the racquet is (currently using BG9)
um... maybe its because the AT itself is different. its stiffer, head heavy much, which isnt bad. and there isnt really a perfect string. there are pros and cons to every string...
AT 250 Ltd is a entirely different racket to Carbonex 7000DF. CAB 7000 has a Aluminum frame compared to Graphite to AT 250 (Lighter) than CAB. If you fell you lost power go for BG80,BG66 or else BG65,NGB95
It's a powerful enough racquet, I don't think there would be a power lost in by using this racquet, when you transit from your 7000DF. Initially it will seem that you have not much power from this racquet, however in actual fact, you have to unleash the beast within this armortec, and take sometime to use to adjust - shots, aim, smashes ect. (not really those sorta racquets that you will immediately get use to it and play well with it.) Strings wise, I would Recc BG65Ti @ 23lbs. (not too much, not too little) Just right. I believe the factory default strings are strung at 21lbs to 23lbs - I cant really remember.
(soz) Went back to Malaysia for a holiday But bought it at pertama complex if that helps (the Umbro shop) (for RM250:>)
You know how I just brought a head heavy racket, I thinking of getting a head light one in Singapore if any one has any recommendations please tell me looking for(headlight, easy swing, lots of control, stiff a bit of power as well)
Where do you intend to get your rackets from? Would you be hunting it down (every nook and cranny) or just head to a sports shop in the mall and get one?
I'm gonna hunt it down heheheheheh Got my eyes on a Nanospeed 800 read it's specs on www.badmintonalley.com , and it turrned out right for my needs. The bad thing is that it looks very similar to my carbonex but any way it quite good from all the reviews I've read But if there is anything that has similar specs and price pls let me know (Also thanks for string advice, I decided just to leave it as it is seeing as it is like a BG 66)
Bg66 is known as Bg9 in Japan. (so it's exactly a bg66) If you would like a Nanospeed 8, you can go to most Sport chainstores in malls of singapore. They should carry the Ns800, but it would cost slightly higher. A shop i would reccommend if you are getting from the malls would be from Sports Link. They do have lots of promotions on their rackets and clothes. They are currently selling the At250 (S$149) And At700 Limited.(S$329) with free gifts. Maybe you could be interested in them or another At250 ltd. The price range for the Ns800, if i remember correctly is Singapore $140. Dont worry about getting fakes from these stores. They get their stocks directly from sunrise.
There is no BG9 in Japan not even BG66. They have BG66S. That advertising is wrong because the racket that smashed 332kmh was Ti-10(old) and it's not there.
Thanks Arcsaber for all the advice I really appreciate your advice, it was really helpful But I'd better get it Malaysia (only RM160) Thanks really much anyway
