That's not quite right. You are allowed to hit the feathers, you just need to hit the cork first. I think the laws of badminton uses the words "base" and "initially". What is this thread supposed to be? If somebody has an actual question about the rules, it's easier to look something up by looking at the rules. They're organized, so it's way easier to find what you're looking for, compared to digging through a thread. If it's the examples of the laws being applied, I honestly don't see the value , but that might be just me.
