Mostly Chinese Indonesians were urged to have Indonesian names....Alan can be Indonesian name also...most of us have chinese names but were not allowed to use it.....

which Malay names on his name? i didn't understand because we supposed to use Indonesian Names to get an Indonesian nationality... as i read on many newspaper, many Chinese-Indonesians whose names still use Chinese still don't have Indonesian nationality... after they got INA nationality, they changed their names in to Indonesian...
Goei ren Fang is Alan's chinese name....it was sad that we were being forced to use Indonesian names but nowaday are much better....
