Sweeet... Tokidoki for the win Nonetheless, I would like to share a project I did for our Badminton Canada Players Association. It's quite long, but check the video description for the contents of the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14bjIuA-CQM
Hope someone would watch that video and start sponsoring you guys !. Is a nice reported , well constructed
Hey Toby, good luck in qualifying for the Olympic, the list is going to be out soon and it looks like there is a good chance you going to be in London ! Look like all those hard work and those wins at various tournaments had paid off. Lets hope your brother can join you as well because he got some real potential , it is such a shame that H.Bach and T.Gunawan are playing in the same continent . Lets see if they will fund you for the trip to Olympic ...........looking forward to seeing you all at the open ceremony
I think he is qualified already - no real doubt about that, as the next PanAm XD pair is pretty far below them if I remember correctly. Definitely looking forward to seeing the Canadians at the OG
Toby, Does this statement need some alteration? "Toby is a National Team Member of Badminton Canada, aiming to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England."
Yes indeed. I will change it to something much more interesting! Thanks everyone for all the support! It's been a crazy year, but maybe things will get even crazier. I hope to go all out at the Olympics and take advantage of the nerves of my opponents cuz in the end, I have nothing to lose, not a thing In the meantime, enjoy this picture I made. Though there may be some truth to the picture, it is clearly meant as a gag
You and your team make us very, very proud, Toby. Not just players who fight against all odds, but real people with great talents outside the court, intelligence you are not afraid of using, and not a little humour. We are very fortunate to have people like you represent Canada. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
4 Canadian badminton players going to Olympics By Jesse Campigotto, CBC Sports Posted: May 18, 2012 http://www.cbc.ca/sports/story/2012/05/18/sp-olympics-badminton-canada-li-bruce-gao-ng.html?cmp=rss Excerpts: The Canadian badminton team announced Friday the four athletes it will nominate for the London Olympics, with Michelle Li, Alexandra Bruce, Grace Gao and Tobias Ng receiving the nods. ..."I am very proud to be nominated to the Canadian Olympic team," Li said in a statement from the Canadian Olympic Committee. "It is a dream come true to compete for Canada at the Olympic Games."
Here's the write up on the four Canadian badminton nominees on Team Canada site, (http://olympic.ca/news/team/badminton-nominees-announced-3)... Congrats to all four of them!!
Here's a recent article on Michelle Li http://www.thestar.com/sports/londo...e-li-wants-badminton-on-canada-s-sporting-map
...and Michelle managed to hit the birdie with Prince Charles...good for her! http://www.womenofchina.cn/html/womenofchina/report/141235-1.htm
Good thing she didn't hit Prince Charles with the birdie. That wouldn't have been so good for her. (His Beefeater guards might have gotten all Medieval on her).
I beg to differ,it'll be great if she did hit Prince Charles with the birdie, then the whole world will come to know this girl who dared to hit the British heir apparent !
