I've read on these forums that drop weights are constant pull and cranks use a lockout mechanism (i think i understand the idea in general). My question is whether a crank give a better string job making the racket more playable, or does drop weight have the upper hand in terms of performance? assume that the stringer in question is equally consistent with both.

btw, i use an klippermate m140 and i love it so far. i think it's a great investment.
