Well, I am right-handed and fractured my right collarbone in a car accident 4 months ago. I have a stainless steel plate to secure the bone. My doctor did not advice against me returning to play badminton.

I feel alright although it ache a little when I am trying to straighten my right arm, upright. I may not be able to give full strength while playing. I guess I'd need to start off slowly and avoid smashing too much like before.

Should I rest more (eg. more than 6 months) or go back playing? :p

    Thank you!

Um, you mean you asked your doctor and they said it was OK? Or you were afraid they might give you bad news so you didn't ask?

I think it's not safe to rely on this forum to give you the right answer. You should ask your doctor.
