Even though MAS lost, but they lost with pride. Nothing to be ashamed of, we lost to a technically superior team.
i think you're seeing the dot on the whiteboard instead of the whiteboard. malaysia still went to all 5 games.
What's the big matter here? It is a team game and so team strategy applies. Korea has to play one extra match and I think that's fair for their doings. It is like a dumb people blaming someone that is smarter for their failure in life?
You judge the results and predict score, what's wrong with that? Can't accept the fact that Ina lost badly in to Korea? No freedom of speech here?
Sportmanship also means play for win But ..yeah.. they did their strategy smartly Lose the battle but win the war
I think.. ..it's more to do with the "dumb" system that has been implemented by the IBF/BWF. Anyone can tell me what other mainstream sports implement such playing/playoff system like this TC & UC's playing/playoff system (allowing a losing/winless team to qualify for the playoffs)??.. And for some reason, this week, Punch made a comment (apparently after a few of the team managers commented about the Korean's TC team's strategy), that BWF is thinking of amending the system????..Punch, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THESE YRS???...
Korea may have reached the final. But I think most people will remember that it's Malaysia that nearly beat China. Same to Uber Cup, it's Netherland that almost broke the Chinese great wall. I think to badminton powerhouse like Indonesia and Malaysia, it's winning the champion or not, doesn't really matter it's final or semi-final.
This yr could turn out to be... ..KOR's last chance of doing their infamous strategy. Because if BWF decides to cut all the loose ends and amends this current TC & UC system, we might not see the KOR doing the same thing, again, in 2 yrs. But knowing the KOR's penchant of trying to get the easiest possible way to reach their goal, if BWF does change the TC & UC's playing format, they'll probably figure out something else in order to avoid playing CHN, until the Final. Best of luck!
Oh I don't know. With it coming down to 3rd MS, to Hafiz vs. Chen Jin, the phrase " ... Malaysia that nearly beat China" is a little misleading. If it was between LCW and Chen Jin, MS3, then that would really fill out that sentiment. -dave
