funny, the stiffness of both vt80 and vt-zf seems to be identical (see below links)... but yonex rated vt80 as stiff, and vt-zf as extra stiff... http://www.yonex.co.jp/products/badracquet/vtzf.html http://www.yonex.co.jp/products/badracquet/vt80.html and arc8dx stiffness is slightly less than vt80 and vt-zf... http://www.yonex.co.jp/products/badracquet/arc8dx.html very confusing...
there is one rule, u can't compare the shaft stiffness between different series/model. yes,u can compare but not accurate.
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...9-Yonex-selection-chart?p=1848776#post1848776 a) it does not indicate shaft stiffness and b) that "rule" is more of a "how to interpret the Yonex chart for dummies"
That looked like a Ti-10 to me as well . It has a black cone/lower part of shaft and no complete white at the 12 o'clock and far too much light coloured on the side of the frame to be a VTZF. This is him (Lim) in another pic but different tournament (the white at 12 is the muscle power frame wording here): Then again this crappy pic makes me doubt about it still being the case
But still ... not a lot of white to be spotted on the shaft here: Code: ANTONY DICKSON/AFP/Getty Images
KKK back to 8DX in his singles match There is a reasonable amount of light coloured part on the side of the frame, in the ZF's case white, however in the pics with Lim and supposed ZF, that "white" part is interrupted (transition from silver to purple interrupted by the ti-mesh) and there is no hint of green to be spotted in any of them (which is probably the most important part since it has been given that colour in the catalogue). Just remembered your post (j4ckie) when I had finished writing "only players on the Yonex advisory staff have been using it so far" so decided to check out this "anomaly" (Lim) .
MBS updated their site with a statement that preorders will be accepted soon for the VTZF. They emailed me and said they will get stock march 15-25.
