i think he shld hav a very good rest b4 coming out again and play.... it be better this way then keep on joining opens but lost in 2nd or 3rd rounds... god bless him....
It was hoped that he could take the Japan Open without the presence of LD! Don't know whether LD will appear in the French Open and if he does, and LCW is able to beat him for the French crown, it will be manifestly satisfying!
lol, yeah the expectation are really high on him i can see ppl from all around the world like our neighbour country like singapore are pretty care of LCW though
It was the knee. Read the Star http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2009/9/25/sports/4779703&sec=sports
The real threats for him in the Laos SEA games are probably Sony and TH. not to mention NTM too. If he can overcome them, he has a good chance. Hafiz now is pretty hard to depend on though
Yes. Especially a Singaporean. Who is that? YoU aNd i may traCk this feLlow at chit-chat sEssion, as he's started a thread there and posting aLots of his cOuntry's stories, restricted to good and Haulian stories only.
Er...I read that LCW dump Miss Wong because a high flying waitress landed softly on his heart...er, I mean his 'side'...sayang, sayang, so it is not a 'heart' problem but really a knee problem that he lost to SS and if not for the knee, LD also has no chance lah
Hahaha Dato, jangan ini macam lah! Don't be so hard on me lah! Suddenly you become so comical and now very kawan2 with George and limsy! Keep it up man! Malaysia Boleh!
relax la uncle. u also can kawan2 with me mah.. If Mas Boleh, Singapore Also Can la ok, back to topic.
Curtains for Chong Wei By K.M. Boopathy 2009/09/25 LEE Chong Wei was not only shocked in the second round of the Japan Open but the left knee injury the World No 1 has been carrying may floor him from competitions until the end of the year. Chong Wei, who suffered a recurrence a few weeks ago, suffered a 19-21, 21-15, 21-19 defeat to Indonesia's Simon Santoso in 68 minutes in Tokyo yesterday. The efforts of the last few months have taken a toll on his knee and Chong Wei, in a telephone interview, said the injury looks serious and he may have to forget about competing in tournaments for the rest of the year. "I was feeling better after the China's Masters last week and felt that I could hold on for another week. However, the pain is unbearable and I may have to skip all tournaments until the end of the year," said Chong Wei. "I would have withdrawn from the Japan Open if not for sponsorship obligations and I still tried to push for victory but the pain increased whenever I tried to move fast. "My only hope now is that I recover in time for the Laos Sea Games (in December) but I will seek medical advice before making a move. "I am supposed to play in the French Open (Oct 27-Nov 1) and the Super Series Masters Finals (Dec 2-6) but I will have to forgo the events in order to recover in time for the Sea Games." However, Chong Wei will not hesitate to skip the Sea Games, which he has never won, as well if he is ordered to take a longer rest or his injury requires surgery. Chong Wei's defeat leaves men's doubles Zakry Latif-Fairuzizuan Tazari and women's doubles Wong Pei Tty-Chin Eei Hui as the only Malaysians in the tournament. Zakry-Fairuz defeated China's back-up pair Chai Biao-Zhang Nan 21-15, 21-12 in 31 minutes to set up a quarter-final showdown with Indonesians Rian Sukmawan-Yonathan Dasuki today. Pei Tty-Eei Hui defeated Thailand's Savitree Amitrapai-Vacharaporn Munkit 21-19, 21-12 in 30 minutes and will play China's Ma Jin-Wang Xiaoli, bronze medallists in the World Championships in Hyderabad last month, in the last eight. In the women's singles, Wong Mew Choo's campaign ended with a 21-12, 18-21, 21-11 loss in 58 minutes to Japan's Eriko Hirose in the second round. http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/43bada/Article/art_print Our george will be , perhaps :crying:, maybe cannot see his beloved LCW in action for the rest of the year.
hmm looks like his injury again has troubled him... wish him all the best in his recovery... on a side note, im interested by the point in the article, "Super Series Masters Finals (Dec 2-6)", anyone has an idea or hint on where will it be held? the BWF calendar is still TBC...
Hope he get well soon , hope he can come back with better performance!~Malaysia Boleh!!! P.S/ Hahaha!Back!!Raya at Teluk Intan , Selamat Hari Raya!!!Mana duit raya!??!?!??jkjkjk .. Now need to focus on training (and study)
*sigh*, all the pain and suffering for nothing (ie. no major titles) except for a few dollars more . http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ad/Forafewdollarsmore.jpg
Hmm.. ..wow, another breaking news from Dato. Hmm, maybe he'll take the time off to spend a bit more time with his...*akhem*...new significant other??.. Off topic: it was also mentioned not too long ago in another thread. But, so far, we've only seen it being mentioned in news article. And no concrete info from BWF themselves that they will hold this event. Deja blue & chaos all over again like in 2007??..
