Maybe he didn't mind from the surface but deep inside he is ready to puke? He is not about to pounce someone in the open public for the video to go viral. :D

I agree it is difficult to compare players from different era and it is quite unfair to do this. I do think Lin Dan is the best so far in badminton history just because time only move forward and badminton skills/badminton racket/the new concept on how to play badminton/the scientific way of training/nutrition are only getting better.

I do agree with you as well. Time is moving forward, it is just about time we will witness superior badminton player than LD in the future.

That will never happen. Who can currently match Lin Dan's collection of titles. Only one player at the moment in the Open Era.

Heryanto Arbi who failed to win Olympics Gold and Indonesian Open, he is close to match Lin Dan's record

They said this about Sampras and then Federer came along.

Of course, at some point down the line there is a good possibility that someone can outstrip even LD's achievements. However, maybe LD isn't even close to finishing! He could yet win another OG, one or two more WC's, 1 or 2 more AE and more team competitions and maybe another Asian Games Gold. It will be interesting to see, that's for sure.

If Lin Dan plays seriously and doesnt goof around like what he did in Malaysia Open, there's so many more titles he could win.....

    Olympics 2012
    World Championship 2013
    World Championship 2014
Maybe try again for Rio 2016 ( another thread has been set up for this) He is only 33 by then, he surely wants to emulate peter gade success barring any injury problem

sure he wants to get those titles as u said, Miqilin7. the question is, can he? with so much MS player also hunger for those titles, there is no assure that he defenitely can win those. not to say his boss order, somewhere, sometimes. :D

One thing I think we can say for sure is that LD has one of the most impressive, if not the most impressive win-loss records.

I do think win-loss record is somewhat important as it really shows how dominant and consistent a player was against their contemporaries throughout one's entire career.

pretty sure he has the best W/L record amongst all active MS single players.

    check www.tournamentsoftware.com

it's a great website for stats (as well as live scoring!)

There's life after badminton for Lin Dan so the year 2012 could be it for him. Business-wise, he is well wired and connected.

    .
As long as Lin Dan is under the control of CBA, he is directed by CBA.

Lin Dan once said he admired Li Na (Tennis) for directing her own goals/plans. While Li Na has say for Rio 2016, Lin Dan has no say at all.

What you say about the CBA controlling him most likely true, but I think Lin Dan lets hit playing and winning do the talking for him. I think if he wants to play and is still winning leading up to Rio, I don't think the CBA will be able to stop him from doing that.
