    .
Some parents do get too nervous and/or get too stressed out when watching their children playing at competition/matches. :):):)

you probably can guess one of them, its quite easy.
wondering what's the other, may be one really early on when LD was a youngster

It depends on the reason why they dont watch..if it was because of nerves etc.. Surely they wouldnt choose the one I think you are thinking :)

I take it the piece doesnt say which they are?

I have never watch my son play during competition since day one, maybe he gets nervous when we are around.

I think the nervous ones are you and your wifey. Kids are a lot more resilient than you credit them. You said you never seen your son compete, honestly any regrets? My daugther swan competitive swimming for 10 years, won some, lost some. Her relay team broke the provincial medley record but got disqualified because one member did an illegal stroke in backstroke, she cried and we were there for her. She won the Provincial breaststroke gold and we were there too. Not only we never miss one event but we captured them all on DVD and hopefully, I live to see the day when I can play back these videos to her kids, that would be a mastercard moment...priceless.;)

A Wonderful and Honorable Journey by Lin Dan...

A badminton player has never been given the opportunity to attend such a prestigious event. Lin Dan of all people was invited to join the group of famous and successful athletes in the Laureus award ceremony.

Lin Dan then shared his thoughts of how the Chinese have not been recognised for their dominance and success in their respective sports due to many reasons. At the end of the journey, he hopes one day he will live the day to see a badminton player (not necessarily a Chinese) to grab that award, making badminton a much more recognised sports as it has always deserved.

no, he won't ever get the award. LYB's job makes for LD's withdrawals --> no sportivity --> no Laureus award! damn it, LYB!

but TH and LCW maybe stand a chance..

I have been reading this article lately : http://badmintoncn.com/view-14381-1.html

LD stated again that he really want his parents to watch him play at London Olympic games which probably his last Olympic Games. His mother also said that after Olympic Games, LD will take a rest for some times. LD might think of his plan to retire from the Military as well. Regarding LD wedding ceremony, his mother also reveal that wedding ceremony will most probably be held at May the following year which is 2013 at a city which has not been decided. Many people have also wondered what will LD do after he retires from badminton. His mother also advised that LD is not only exceptional at Badminton, he is also quite good in singing. LD also quite often pay music studio a visit for recording. Therefore, LD might join entertainment industry.

LD has been in the military service for quite some time.
I would love to see him competing with Korean singer, and demonstrate how should a gentleman dance and sing..
