george, damn.... u seems to have all the good names... yes agreed. He beat Chen Jin in India, looks like a promising player. Should expose him to more tournaments and put more focus on him to improve. Where's Pak Misbun ah??? mana dia... bawak dia mari... cipat cipat...
The Star Online > Sports Monday June 9, 2008 Wei Feng bids adieu on a high note, Hui Lin wins first gold TOP seed Chong Wei Feng ended his junior career on a high while Ng Hui Lin overcame a muscle pull to win her first Sukma gold medal on the final day of the badminton competition in Kemaman yesterday. Kedah's Wei Feng lived up to his billing in the men's singles, beating second seed Mohd Arif Abdul Latif of Negri Sembilan 21-17, 21-11 in the final to complete a perfect record in his final outing in Sukma. On Tuesday, he helped Kedah retain the team title. The win over Arif, who was a member of the Malaysian team for the Thomas Cup Finals last month, proved that he is one of the top singles players in the national back-up squad. “Winning the individual gold is really meaningful to me and I hope it will convince the selectors to send me out to compete in more international tournaments,” said Wei Feng. “I hope to win one Open title before the year ends. I will be competing in the Thailand Open next and playing against the top guns will really help our game.” Wei Feng's highlight in the senior ranks is a win over China's Chen Jin in the India Open this year. Selangor's Hui Lin partnered Woon Khe Wei to win the women's doubles gold medal. They defeated Sabah's Amelia Alicia-Ng Paou Leng 17-21, 21-13, 21-19 in the final. It was Hui Lin's first gold medal after two failed attempts in the 2004 and 2006 Games. “A muscle pull almost dashed my hopes but I hung on. I am glad that Khe Wei and I were able to live up to the expectations.” Hui Lin, who was a member of the Uber Cup team, hoped that the coaches would get her a regular partner to help her make a mark in the international scene. “I will be competing in the Thailand Open in the women's doubles with Vivian Hoo and in the mixed doubles with Lim Khim Wah (her world junior champion partner) in the Vietnam Open,” she said. “I have decided to become a full-time player. I have been offered a scholarship to further my studies in economics in Canada. But I am willing to postpone it for the sake of badminton. I will let the coaches decide on a regular partner for me.” http://thestar.com.my/services/print...asp&sec=sports Hui Lin's fans will be happy. Was wondering why Khim Wah playing with WPT in SS. And Wei Feng, keep it up, young man, catch up with your tai ko LCW. Looks bright to go into senior squad aft OG.
From Wei Feng Score against Arif…If seems that latif is being wallop up.So why did Latif being send to Thomas cup?
no excuse lah. loose means loose lah... hehe.. Then winner also no shiok winning correct? CW had the biggest scalp on Chen Jin so far. He should be rewarded. It shows there's no fluke in his badminton dance.
hello my friend...i am saying tan/haw was formidable...not ng/woon...sorry for my confusing english...:crying:
ya...my prediction also wei feng 51%-49%arif in the previous post......good to see that we are not just have arif and tcs...
gd to hear tat hui lin changed her mind n stay as full time player hope to see her play in the nx olympic! gambate to her n oso other juniors
Liek how n chuan jue were regular partners since young...they were already playing together since 13 or 14 i guess....but they were really impressive at sukma, giving pak chuu n hee chun good fight also
i think pak chuu & hee chun`s win is not really an uspset as pak chuu is more senior then them. Just didn`t play much tournaments as he had just recovered from torn knee ligaments. Was out for quite some time. Glad he`s won.
oh i see...thanks for the information... do u remember who been upset by chan peng soon and raymond koh???
according to sonia...lydia torned a ligament on right tight...:crying:...i and sonia also hope she will recover soon for the thailand open...:crying:
Stars Personally, for the mas upcoming MS stars, it will be as follows.... 1) Tan Chun Seang 2) Chong Wei Feng 3) Arif Latif I rate Wei Feng better than Arif based on current performance.. are there any objections?
i am not sure about this...maybe older than tcs 1 or 2 years... need help from those whom know well about kbh!!!
