Hi just moved to Philadelphia and my boyfriend and I are looking to get into playing badminton doubles, we are both beginners, we have never really played before besides in school but we are both very athletic and coordinated. Is there a league or place to take lessons as beginner doubles? we would like something consistent that we could do on a weekly basis. Thank you!
Hey Kelly, There are a bunch of places to play in philadelphia. Lansdale YMCA U penn (only students) U drexel (Only students) Bryn Mawr (Vincent Lobo coaches here on Mondays, he is a pretty good player and coach) Bryn Athyn etc if you need addresses or timings please ask in this thread and I can respond.
Hi triambukh, Is Bryn Mawr open in summer? Can you tell me their hours and exact location? I seem to be finding several places in Bryn Mawr area.
The address is 300 airdale road, bryn mawr, yes they are open in summer they are closed on (July 19th and 26th)
Is it Monday and Thursday 8pm-10pm? Is Vincent still coaching? I've been looking for some clinic sessions for quite some time. Unfortunately, could not find anything until saw your post above. Thanks for your replies
yes it is mon and thu 8 -10 (19th and 26th of july the court is closed). The coaching sessions are not a regular occurrence, it was happening when I first replied to yur email and will probably start in fall again.
