lol - free lessons by me :D. I'm happy to help you when you post a video.

Definitely, this thread is definitely one of the best in the Training/techniques forum.

I'll try and get permission from my sports centre to film there. I've no idea how long that'll take but once I get permission, I'll try and film a video ASAP so you can ridicule me  (no, I don't think I'm that bad lol). We need more videos people, MORE!

Others have already commented that your racket needs to be up and forward. The reason that you tend not to do it is because you are waiting for the shuttle with your non racket foot forwards. Change this to having your racket foot slightly forwards, you'll find that you now react more quickly to the shuttles and you're able to defend more positively. Your racket will be away from your body so you can cope better with hits aimed towards your right side. Good luck

This is so true - normally people can only answe with "generic" techniques , but it helps so much to see the actual persons technique.

I will try and video my today - but it just depends on my friend. I'll see if my video on my phone works - but I doubt it :p.

I think my place has a similar rule however they ain't gonna see it if I stick my camera at the back of the court + my coach has filmed matches plenty of times so possibly tomorrow I'll video me and post it and you can see what you think

OK, just do what you can and we'll try to analyse it and what the sports centre doesn't know won't hurt them ;):D

The trouble is where I play, the staff keep walking in and out so I really can't film without permission. I've no idea why they feel the need to come in whilst people are playing though.

When I smash it looks like I am smashing faster than international players on my camera - the shuttle goes so fast :D.

alright here is a lil video i got of myself during a warm up hitting some quarter smashes and fast drops. yes i am the one in the full white top and black track pants thats hitting them, i do know that i make errors (probally a high amount to some of you) but i am human afterall. i had to convert it and used a free software thats why there is a watermark on the video but it isnt a problem. uh yeah thats about it i guess take a look and judge away :D:rolleyes:
