1 thing I heard now is mason made a new racket for Fu haifeng to use, don't know whether he use now .
I think what you heard was the F9 - PT, which is simply a training racket - he doesn't use it for tournaments, if my sources are correct
It's no downgrade. The N50 is not as head heavy and thus a bit quicker. The shaft stiffness is very similar, so it does feel a tad stiffer (lighter head making it just a bit harder to bend the shaft).
