Yeah, I was a bit surprised by that as well. I expected a lot more players to be using the BG80. The BG80 tends to be very popular with European players.
OK, this confirms Mogensen uses a specially made ArcFB.... at 34/36 lbs, there is NO WAY the racket will not snap 1/2 with the smash he's making.
Has anyone got stringing details of players sponsored by other brands? Say Victor for Korean team and Li Ning for China? Would like to know what strings/tension the Korean team are using especially LYD/YYS and also the top Chinese players.
Judging by the number of breaks last week, 40 lb... From memory, LYD has about 34, but that's at least two years old.
From Victor Webpage: Korea/Indoesia & Taiwan Players String and tension 1) Lee Yong Dae BS 12VS 850 tension 32 , 2) Ko Sung Hyun BS 12, VS 850 tension 30 3) Yoo Yeon Seong. BS 12 VS 850, tension 30 4) Kim Jae Sung MX JJS , VS 850 , Tension 31 5) Li Sheng Mu , VS800, Tension 33 6) Cai jia xing , VS 800 , Tension 31 7) Tai Zu ying , VX 800, Tension 27 9) Kim Sa Rang MX 80/90 , VS 850, Tension 31 10) Ahmad Tontowi , Jetspeed orange , VS850 , Tension 31 11) Liyana Nasir , BS 12L , BS850 , Tension 30.
I Heard rumours outside that although li ning has new string now , No 1, 5 and 7 string. Most of the china players still stick to BG 65 and 66 UM.
so what the difference between 30x30 vs 30x32. Will it play the same? or worst? I assume 30x32 average is 31lb correct?
Just do a little bit of research in the forum and you will find this: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/54129-Why-2lbs-On-The-Cross ...and if you spend some time reading through, it will answer all of your questions. And before we enter the same loop once more: No, it will not make that significant difference in generating power if you have 30x30 or 30x32 lbs. tension.
