>.< I already got session 1 ticket at section 4, not a VIP ticket. I took some pictures but they looked really bad so I decided not to post them.
Nice pics! The court and enviroment could of been prepared better or retrofit what is necessary to meet the standards to be suitable for badminton.
Lighting was definitely a weak point, but this is a good learning experience for the organizers/Badminton Canada should Canada land a GP event in the future.
Agreed!! Hmm, did any of the players decide to go on the ice too or at least have a go around on the oval itself?
No ice - it's been melted. The little stadium setting (seats 1,950) was located at the east end of the Oval. Are you not coming to watch?
I'm glad the two players had a sense of humour with the (same) long serve linesman, a Junior player who probably line-judged for the first time. Taufik received an "IN" (oooooo), and Andre received an "UNSIGHTED" call. Everybody knew the young line judge was soooo nervous. What a great opportunity for him to volunteer! Cheers!
For VIP, They provide wine and beer from China ( Zhu Jiang beer) and catering ( real food) from AFLOATA restaurant.....
Andre beat TH 12-21,21-14 (or 21-15), 21-12..I forgot the exact score,,both players were troubled by lighting...
