yan.v - The Victor VE80 machine looks gorgeous. Half the cost of a Protech 8? I guess you ended up buying this machine instead of the Adidas Electronic machine? What tipped the scales for you?
It's actually more expensive than the Protech 8. I'd say that the exclusivity of the machine as well as all of the features on it tipped the scale. This machine is like a Baiardo on steroids!
Your best bet is to fly yan.v along with his stringing machine to Birmingham and have a stringing party! yan.v - will we get a review of the machine in a separate thread post? That machine is definitely beautiful...and is totally out of my reach (would never get wife approval + need to pay down mortgage).
Yes I'll try to do a decent review when I get some time, I love it so far! I was actually impressed that it has more features than the videos or specs on websites show.
I just found this while browsing but I can't get it in the uk because they will not ship outside of the United States. Can anyone help me get this here in the uk please . http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wis...oner_Gamma_Adapter/descpageWISE-WISETHGA.html
Hi all, this is my setup with Gamma X ST with wise 2086. Waiting for gamma wise adapter. Draws made myself for storage for strings etc.
I bought this machine for "little" money in a bad condition. I need two days, a lot of isopropanol, three toothbrushed, one roll of paper towels and break cleaner for cleaning the machine. The clamps and the towers was full of dirty old oil...
Not at the moment. I have this machine just since 3 or 4 weeks. I have all what I need to string a badminton racket on this machine. But especially for Badminton i prefer the ES5Protech! The badmintonclamps on the Sensor are only half as good as the Yonex one. BUT the shaft diameter of the clamps is the same, so its maybe possible to use the Yonex clamps on the sensor...
I thought the Sensor was a pretty bad machine for badminton, to be honest - the towers are too far apart, and you can't move them. This means the side supports can only reach the very corners of a badminton frame (this is the Expert version, but it's the same issue): Nothing holding the middle of the racket... I wouldn't trust it!
I will try it when I'm back at home. not really... the yonex side supports have the best possition on badminton frames.
My philosophy is that with mains alone, the stress is pretty much in the 3/9 direction, so why not have something there to "catch" it? As the crosses go in, the stress moves to the opposite 2/10 corners (before dissipating and equalizing over the whole frame), so have something there, too. Alan's "high" mount is best for bottom up crosses, I've found, and the fixed-tower machines can't do it.
Very nice setup. You put my machine to shame now. How much did that cost you. I think I'll be getting that next .
