Yonex strings which yonex strings in ur opinion fits these characteristics the most? 1.) good blend of power and control at around 22 lbs. 2.) can last about 1-2 months b4 breaking (i'm not looking for real durable ones, just ones that will last about 1-2 months). 3.) the string tension won't slump that much during the 1-2 months of usage. which ONE string fits these characteristics the most?
String suggestion What's the best possible string(s) that can be easily found? I want power, control, but care nothing about durability... Edit: Must be Yonex plz..
btw the link above says 'thread doesn't exist'. what was in it? i tried bg 85, 65 and 68 ti i definately think 68 ti and 65 slumps and the string perform really bad soon. they are pretty good when they are in high tension though../ i tried bg 85 too, but i had to cut it since i couldn't produce enough control... fabulous power tho... but not sure if it can stay on a high tension for very long since i cut it... besides, ppl say it's REALLY easy to break. i'm looking forward to the bg 80... is bg 80 the string that least slumps to a low tension? if not, which one slumps the least? wut about bg
My vote goes to BG85. I strung my rackets (cab30ms these days) via BG85 around 22~23lb. I play 15-20 hrs a week, and the string can last about 3-4 weeks. Personally, I found out the power+control combo is wonderful.
YY Strings Can anyone recommend me a YY string that has similar control and power as BG 65, but has shorter lifespan ( around 1.5 month) and leasts slumps tension (unlike bg 65).. trust me ppl, i tried to look at the review section in badmintonreview.com, but everyone has different opinions... it would be much easier if they write their (style of playing, their skill level, how hard they hit the bird and what shuttles they use) so that i can just use the string that the guy that plays like me uses, but they don't write that stuff down ... and i can't even post anything on it bcuz no one answers posts on badmintonreviews.com, so i have to post it here. my properties: use yonex or BK nylon birdies, i can unleash adequate amount of power with bg 65 at 21-23 lbs, about beginner-intermediate level, and i'm a power player, but these days i'm using more brains. thanks in advance/
What about Ashaway Micro Legend String? Seems to be used by many professional during competition (Heard)... Price is close to the BG-80... Anyone got experience with it?
try BG85. I use feather shuttles all the time, have so-so power, lack brain power and use BG65 regularly. If I had the luxury, I would use BG85 most of the time.
When play with plastic shuttles, try to stay with thick string (i.e. BG70Pro), as the durability might be an issue for thin (i.e. BG85, BG66) strings.
I think BG-70 is designed for plastic shuttles. The string is thick, and the cross-section is oval. This is a lie. Phil
