So tomorrow is gona be again a treat match of two great players NO and PVS still remember their WC 2017 i think it was the longest match i ever saw and what a graceful performance that was. thougy i strongly feel no matter who wins tomorrow I see either CM or TTY winnin the Gold this year.
Didnt LiuCheng said he was injured? if i was the coach i would target him,, he doesnt seem to be able to smash hard
What happened to Korea nowadays? Not even a single player in quarters. Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
Maybe they should have a special reward for MD who could win the match by giving the majority of shuttle to either ZN or Kevin. That could be quite exciting.
Well the opponents are targeting him most of the time all right. One game down, one more game to go. Jia You!
Organisers are very well aware of Nozomi vs Sindhu showdown. Hence it was the last match of the day. They have some of the longest matches in the history between them. Hope to get one more. Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
Just in case it would go much longer than expected Not nice to keep the other players waiting too long
So true...I remember last year watching their match and it was what I would call a Legendary match of two perfectionist and determined ladies It was any ones match but for me both were winners as it was a very clsoely won match. These two players are one of the few gems rivalries we have in Badminton today who Im sure the whole badminton world is always excited to see. Its a full on entertainment and Im glad its at the end cause given their stamina to keep on goin on n on I wont be surprised if we keep sittin for hours
I don't see any European country coming even close to Denmark tbh. Part of it is the lack of a base, if the ntl. coach gets these players at age 16-20 with all sorts of technical oddities and weaknesses it's hard to get much out of them...I saw parts of a few different matches from Europeans, and they all seem to have at least one area in their technique where they're just horribly sub-par compared to Top20 players. Mark Couljew, for example (lost to LD) has pretty limited overhead technique and bad movement to his forehand corner. Also the German ntl. coaches aren't top-notch by international standards. WS is a joke, and MS was only ever Marc Zwiebler (who was severely limited at the international level by his weird and not very optimal technique), XD was just Fuchs/Michels, and don't even talk about WD I don't know the exact reasons, but I would think that it's partly the lack of popularity and partly that the training of the elite players isn't quite optimal athletically, I saw a lot of gadgets and on-court drills in videos but not a lot of heavy weights and jump rope. The philosophy of coaches also seems to not deem weight training important from what I've heard or witnessed myself at a lower level. Quite interesting to me, since basic exercises such as the squat have a most significant carry-over to badminton. Maybe Im wrong though
"Common denominator: Zhang Nan, success follows him wherever he goes" Easy there Gill, Fu Haifeng was successful long before anyone ever heard of ZN apart from that she's right of course, few have had that much success with different partners - Fu and Setiawan come to mind for me, although I cant think of anyone who did it across partnerships AND discipines, except maybe Park Joo Bong...?
From my point of view, this is an absolute disaster of a tournament for Indian Men's Singles especially when considering the tactical skipping of the Thomas Cup. Lack of mental strength? They got the best person to learn mental strength from....that person is Saina..
