Is he good? He uses head heavy and stiff racquets, must be very good.

Same coach but train during different sessions. Skill wise I should not comment as that was like 4 years ago. If he were to continue training he should have improveby now.

He should consider other brands like APACS, Fleet or Panda Power where some of the models are warrantied to 35 or even 38 lbs !

    Update of 8PS review

Had another solid 2 hr session with it. Power and speed is there in spades. Only downside is that it feels soft and numb, as Ch1k0 puts it. Must be that Zxion material at 10 and 2 on the head.

This affects touch shots and shots requiring accuracy like drives. Almost feels as if it was strung 1-2 lbs lower, when in fact I know it was strung at the correct tension (since I also ordered a backup XP70 at the same time from Eric, strung at same 21x23 lbs pinging the same 1100 Hz, but XP70 feels perfect whereas 8PS is numb...)

So just a caveat to those of you thinking of getting a Jetspeed, remember to increase tension by 1 lb or so.

It's horrifying for me :( I'm used to 28x30 and this upon arrival already dropped to I estimate 25x27 after being strung at 27x29. The numb feeling is a bit of a mood killer on court for me sometimes. It's like I have everything going right but due to the numb feel I end up putting a shot into the net...very distracting especially in fast games.

I don't know if it's the zxion or the nano fortify but I get a very very similar feeling from using the TK9000 and the one thing they have in common is nano fortify in the shaft

Yes. One of my badminton buddies said the TK9000 felt exactly like the VT-80 but swung a bit faster due to the better head weight distribution.

I also felt there was a slight disconnect with the JJS, too. Not as bad as with the Z-Force though, where you stick the racket face in the vague vicinity of the shuttle and the only evidence of hitting the thing is actually watching the shuttle fly off. Haha.

You mean the Z Speed... :)

Now that thing was numb like it had a shot of lidocaine in the shaft. :p

If that's the case for you then with the z speed you won't even know you hit the shuttle XD

Pardon me for asking, JJS refers to Jetspeed or Jung Jae Sung? Hahaha... I got confused with the acronyms.
