u bluff me well boys and girls training never same eventhough the competition in chinese is strong the theory are as easy as wyh never able to beat lcw so the quality is different
i guess the discussion was on who appears to be more vulnerable to being worn-out / overburnt between WYH and LCW for the past 1 year instead of quality between WS and MS. i would bet on WYH considering all the discussion so far... she is just a litter girl and have to subject to so many challenges...
the unique monthly difficult time for female, that may coincide with their competition (don't laugh, this is a serious argument that really something affect female players' performance)... [/quote] ohh.. yeah you're 100% right about this one. (i almost forget this one..) beside you cann't move so well, it's also affect fitness. for WYH case, she played almost one month full. so...
Considering WYH footwork is not as smooth as LCW, her knees are carrying more burden. Wish China can spare her for the upcoming EA games....
Oh well.. ...we won't see a dream ending of WYH and suetyan standing on top of (different) podiums together..
Now I realized all the competitions held in China is not to WYH's favor. She never won any big tournament which held in China except 2006 World Cup and 2007 National City Games. But, we don't take these two titles in consideration because firstly, she is still in the second team in 2006, secondly, majority are youngsters who participated in the 2007 National City Games, Zhang Ning, Xie Xingfang are not there. She started to have more chances to participate in international tournaments in 2008. In China Masters 2008, she lost to Wang Lin in the semi final. In China Open 2008, she lost to Jiang Yanjiao in round 32. In China Masters 2009, she lost to Wang Shixian in the quarter final. Then in National Games 2009, she lost to Wang Shixian again in the semi final. Lastly, in China Open 2009, she lost to Wong Mew Choo in round 16. China is not a fortune place for WYH to win a title. Next time when pawers see any tournament held in China, we can paw against WYH.
Plus, the 3x21 NSS is much more taxing for the ladies than it used to. As madbad said, it is admirable that she didn't simply withdraw (disappoint the fans).
I agree. It's hard for WYH or any Badminton player for that matter, to play that many tournaments and have success in all of them. Gets tiring.
Except for the loss to WMC, isn't that reasonable to say that CHN WS players biggest opponents are her own teammates...there is so little to separate them and at any day, either one can beat the other. That is why LL and ZL, as good as they are and young still, got blown away by own teammates.
They all train together and know every little nuance of each other's games. No surprise really that most CHN v CHN WS matches are close and competitive. After watching WYH's game against WMC, I really felt sorry for her. Her mind was willing but it looked like she was playing with cement boots on.
Yup, me too. She made many errors in that games. Very pity, because she can got point from many of them. But the shuttle just out, and WMC who got the point. oh yeah, is she playing at SS final?
Let me just say that despite WYH's fatigue, let's not take anything away from WMC. She still had to focus, execute her game plan and win, which she did. Congrats to WMC (and Misbun for plotting WYH's downfall)
