Congratulation to Fu/Cai, they certainly deserve the win. As for the KKK/TBH, just too many un-force errors and many of KKK ambition shots/moves was not fruitfu and effective. I always wonder why Malaysia team doesn't deploy the traditional way of playing like China, Cai Yun setup and Fu goes for power smashes, instead we use KKK to do the ambition and high risk move in the net and go for mostly the fast pace drive. I for one think TBH has as good as the smash like Fu but is hard to generate the power as his feet usually is not set mainly due to the playing style of his partner. When Malaysia do attack in traditional way, we know good thing happens, the only thing is KKK/TBH don't seem to commit in attacking play, they feel comfortable to play defense in many occasions. Anyway, the opportunity was there but unable to capitalized, unfortunately.
entertaining final match to close the competition. i hope we get to hear ian wright's commentary more often.
i think there needs to be a change of tactic. the risky rush shots by KKK worked on the 1st game when they were still fresh. but as the game progresses, they slow down and KKK is less effective and it become more of a risk. at the same time, FHF/CY actually plays better throughout the match, MAS didn't react and change tactic accordingly and as a result, they fell into this hole in the 3rd set.
CHN rules the world once again ..Congratulate for them They will definetelly try to repeat it at Asian Games. Challange for the others country to stop CHN dominance. must get prepare from now. Hope the CHN team will attend all later SS tournament this year.
I see, I really thought Taufik was going to roll back the years and win the WC for the first time since 2005. Really dissapointing. If only he could have used a bit more energy. LCW already let him through. He should have used his opportunity. So CJ was in control for the whole match ? ....
the offensive firepower of fu/cai right till the end of the match astounded me. looked like they saved some ammo for the final onslaught. good match
ian wright is a how a commentator should be. next best is morten frost. but ian wright is light years ahead of gillian clark in terms of USEFUL commentating - i.e. insightful and accurate observations in relation to tactics employed on court, as well as his own suggestions as to how a player/ team should adjust their tactics. As a former national coach, you'd expect nothing less. as to gillian clark... urgh... maybe 1 out of every 25 comments has some insight to it, the other 24 comments consist of either "my godness, how on earth did he get to that!" and "oooh!! what an awful judgement to leave that shuttle - it was MILESSS IN!!! [or insert other stating the bleeding OBVIOUS comment]". As you can see, some real insight...
