Here's some head heaviness and stiffness comparison among the Yonex Voltric range of rackets.

    Head heaviness
    VTZF
    VTZF2
    VTLD-F
    VT80ETN = VT80
    VT70ETN

    Stiffness
    VTZF
    VTZF2
    VTLD-F = VT80
    VT80ETN
    VT70ETN

I've always thought that VTZF2 trumps VTZF in both HH and stiffness? This is kind of surprising for me to be honest.

Aye. Both are right up there. However, VTZF is head heavier and stiffer compared to VTZF2.

I'm firmly in the other opposite camp for this.

Stupid ZF2 wouldn't work out for me no matter what. I could do something with ZF1 still.

It was probably the bigger head that helped you.

On head heaviness and stiffness values, VTZF is ahead of VTZF2. But only by a small margin.

List adjusted after VTLD-F was tried out. Check first post.

After reading this thread, I am more tempted with VLD-F. At first I was thinking get a less demanding racket for my off days, but then this sucker comes up.

How did the smashes feel compare to VT80? Meatier?

For some reason, VT80 feels meatier while smashing. However, VTLD-F is faster through the air.

Given VLD-F is more head heavy, that's a bit strange. What about frame size between the two?

Yes, that is strange. I think it has to do with the materials the rackets use in their frame.

The frame size is virtually identical. They are normal sized and not small like the VTZF2.

VTLD-F is the only top range racket from Yonex that is available as just a player version. It does not have a generic version.
