Was looking for something a bit more absorbent than regular Yonex Super Grap/Lining Gp1000, stumbled across Yonex Wet Tacky Grap AC154EX. Wanted to try since there's no review of it on any forums.

Before anyone tells me to get a towel grip, I've tried and that's not for me :/. I just wipe my sweat too much (i.e. face/arms/legs) and then it gets on my grip and makes less grippy/tacky.

I can see why now lol.

Not tacky at all, more slippery if anything. Sweating made this even worse, didn't absorb any sweat. It's got this weird eraser feeling, but personally it's not for me.

Another negative is that this stuff is super thin even with the factory grip on my NF800LT under it. So the vibrations were really tough on my hand too.

Overall going back to regular super grap/equivalent graps, even though I run through them a bit quickly (my wallet will be very sad ;-;). If anyone has any other recommendations that are good for people that sweat please let me know.

P.S. I've tried towel sweatbands (on the arms) to try absorbing the sweat, but that only works a little.

have you tried RKEP grip? I really like them and they are cheap enough that I don't feel bad if I change them often. The only downside IMO is I am used to wrapping Yonex 102 and this one wraps a little differently in the beginning.

I haven't yet, maybe I’ll try. Any idea where I can get them in Canada, I’m in Toronto so maybe one of the specialist shops in Markham might have.

I’ve tried most of the regular supergrap/adjacent type of graps from yonex lining and victor. They’re all fine, but the sweat does bug me, especially the initial fresh tacky bess wears off.

Aside from that towel grip is out of the question, and I’ve tried this grip from Karakal (i think?) that had this foam underneath to make it more “wavy”, but it made it had for me to switch from forehand and backhand grips. (too much wave) It was pretty tacky tho.

Look at some Karakal branded grips. Some people really love them.

I handed a friends racquet to my stringer and they had a karakal duo grip on it (see my other topic about them). Felt nice

RKEP grips you would order direct from Eric who is the seller. I recently ordered some G10 overgrips and it's much more tacky then supergrap but like someone else has mention it'd not stretchy so applying may give you some creases. I find them long lasting and its economical if you like the fresh grip feeling. If you like to try some give me a PM :)

Most shops only carry the top 3 and the odd Gosen/Mizuno grips but JJsports has other brands that are popular in Asia like VS overgrips. But I would stay away from them, because the initial tackiness dies after just 1 session and I don't really sweat. It is very stretchy, more then supergrap so easy to apply. Has some markings I guess to help with extra grip but I prefer the more clean smooth grip look.

Karakal overgrips I used in the past but since they not readily available and quite pricey I pass them under the radar. PU Super grip is very nice, lasts a long time and is a favorite as a replacement grip. Just wish it was cheaper.

I'll check out JJsports, haven't been in a while since it's a bit out of the way by TTC/GO, but the owner was actually the one that recommended the Karakal grip I tried in the past. Been going to JZONE since it's easier to get to by GO, I've seen Karakal there before I think.
