Hi there, Hans here, new member, fanatic, lover of the game.... I'm curious.... If you were dying and you had only breath left for one sentence and it had to be advice to a badminton player.... one sentence only to formulate what, if nothing else, you have learned about the game and how to spproach it in order to win... WHAT WOULD IT BE?? For God's sake man, post it here!! ;-) Me: [ Dominate the tempo ] you....?
Good thread start for a newbie. Hmmm... I'll have to think about it a bit first... too many to filter thru. .. it'll be a loooong run on sentence.
One sentence is too much. I give you one word. Wushin. http://www.aaronosman.com/the-mind-of-no-mind-achieving-peak-performance/
"Move your feet" Also since I tend to aim all my smashes steeply instead of with depth I think my new motto should be "Think deep"
"Don't make stupid mistakes" No Outs, nor hitting the shuttle to the net. Just don't let the rally die and u will win.
"A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at." Bruce Lee.
Move faster and hit slower. (translation: get there early and play useful shots, not fast shots - getting there early + good shot = win. Also less likely to make mistakes or get into bad position on court)
