Currently looking for a light racket, around the range of 4u and 5u. Anyone have any idea wat model and where can i get it? price range would also be good
hmmmm wat brand would u like to buy ? yonex have the armortec 700 mp88 4u version... sintec have the armorace 700 all 4u also
no specific brand, clone also can. as long as quite cheap and light i have sintec clone of muscle power 99. wan something lighter
10 N 10 in Bras Basah has widest variety of rackets, including the Pro Ace Ti. But Bras Basah complex has generally a good selection between the 4 shops there, I've even seen Thailand Yonex AT800s there (S$200 vs $300 for SP).
There are 4 shops there??? I know only 3 (Ranking at 2nd floor, 10n10 & Music Book Shop at Ground Floor)... where is the 4th?
Hower is right, you should be able to find it at 10 n 10. For your information if you are interested, the Proace Titanium Dream's frame is Isometric and I think the tension can go easily to 28 Lbs on a electronic stringing machine. I would have bought that racket if not for the fact that it is Isometric and has gross colour combination (in my opinion).
hmm, wat light rackets has oval shape? Have been using iso for most of the time. Wanna try some oval shape
i have one is PROACE Ti Force 4U-G2 oval shape head....very light....should less than 80LBS...u should try it to see is light for u? I m more used to Calbonex 21SP... so light racket seems does fit to my play....willing to trade in with some comparable of your racket that close to Calbonex 21SP....if not willing to sell at $80 ..... used to buy at $120. Looks very new...can't find any scratches at all becos hardly used it.
Oval - shape rackets need more time to get used to because its sweet spot is smaller. But I can recommend a few light oval shape rackets though. Sintec Ultra Light 21- dirt cheap , fragile though Proace D.M.S series - superb racket for punching(attacking lobes) Proace has many decent rackets, perhaps you should just go down to 10 n 10 to ask around for their opinion on their rackets. I think Proace has one racket racket which is silver in colour , oval shaped and really light. Around 4U or 5U. Ashaway has also a Ultra light racket but I do not encourage it because Ashaway rackets are not able to take high tension.
when u say dirt cheap, how cheap is it? for the proace D.M.S series, wat u mean by good for punching? is it light and head heavy?
It cost $65 for the Sintec Ultra light 21. The only characteristics on the Sintec racket is it is very light , 5 U. Oval-shaped frame. Think it can take around 24-25 Lbs tension. As for the Proace D.M.S series, I think the only model left is the D.M.S 99 which is 3U I think. Similarly it is oval-shaped. The key characteristics of this racket is its ultra thin frame which reduced air resistance so it is extremely nice to play with. Can generate the neccessary racket speed very easily because of the unique composition of the frame. Despite its thin frame , it is still a very sturdy racket which can take knocks. And no, the rackets are not head-heavy, I would say both of them are balanced rackets.
Light rackets and cheap, get apacs one Most of the apacs are very light(i have not seen a 2U so far for this brand) and it is cheap, i think even cheaper in Malaysia. Btw too light racket will lack in power, you will need to swing very fast to achieve strong smash.
btw, i mean that i don know if karakal rackets are sold locally. i did notice that i need to swing faster to achieve a strong smash(not that mine is strong my normal standards ) but i do feel better using a lighter racket, personal preference
