hi all, sorry if this has been discussed before, but i didnt manage to find the answer im lookin for. anyway, my question is comparing mp99 vs ns7000 vs ns8000 (all 3u/g5) which racket has the advantage on: - overall power - smash power - defence (blocking smash) & recovery - drive - control - manuverability thx in advance for the replies
I have all 3 models but in 2UG4. However I have not tried the ns8000 yet. As for the other two, imho: 1) overall power - MP99 2) smash power - MP99 3) defence (blocking smash) & recovery - NS7000 4) drive - MP99 5) control - MP99 6) manuverability - NS7000
that above was done only by comparing ns 7000 and mp 99, as mongoose didn't try the nanospeed 8000 yet. so... ns 8000 might be more powerful, controlling, and a maneouverable racket than both ns 7000 and mp 99. my best bet is wait for him to play with his nanospeed and then ask, or wait for someone else to reply.
NS 7000 is suitable for those who do not have enough power and skills to best utilize the offensive racquet as professional player. I used to play with MP100 and AT700. When I am not well, these racquets look like a heavy axe for me and the power of smash is powerless:crying: It is not heavy as printed i.e 3UG5, in comparison with AT700 3UG5(I got this one). Maybe this is the diffirent of "heavy head" and "light head". Overall, NS7000 is good for defensive player.
Hehe, Guess Tony Gunawan is not skillful enough since he switched from AT800OF to NS7000. Well, from his racket history, I somehow wonder why he chose this, not NS8000. One speculation is that Yonex asked him to use this. Cheers, -SC
Hmm, so you still prefer your MP-99s over the new NS-7000 huh? Do you have any AT-700 or AT-800 racquets to throw it into this comparison?
hey mongoose, have u tried out ns 8000 yet?? oh, and how bout throwing woven 7 as a comparison as well
Tried the NS8000 this afternoon. Btw I'm comparing MP99SP, MP90JP, NS7000JP and NS8000JP. All are 2UG4 and strung with BG66 at 24 lbs. 1) overall power - MP90JP 2) smash power - MP90JP 3) defence (blocking smash) & recovery - NS8000JP 4) drive - MP90JP 5) control - NS8000JP 6) manuverability - NS8000JP Btw these are all just my own opinion. Different players may feel differently about the rackets. If I throw in the Woven 7, AT800DE JP (3UG4) and AT700SP (3UG4) into the comparison, this is how I would rate them: 1) overall power - MP90JP 2) smash power - AT700SP 3) defence (blocking smash) & recovery - NS8000JP 4) drive - MP90JP 5) control - Woven 7 6) manuverability - NS8000JP However I must admit that it is not easy to rate them. But this is generally how I feel about them on most days.
Having used the NS8000 for a few weeks now I would say the NS8000 beats the MP99 hands down on ALL aspects!!! It's more manouverable (headlight) and still Produces more power than the MP99.. MP99 is a well balanced racket Which performs OK on all areas (but to me MP99 doesnt excel in one single aspect, power, defence, control etc)..is a really "allround" compromise racket.. I think NS8000 is the only racket I ever used that is both headlight AND powerful...definitvely more powerful for me than the MP90/99. To be honest I can't se any aspect of the game where the MP90/99 outperforms NS8000.. My 2 cents, Twobeer
I can't entirely conclude on the point that NS8000 is more powerful than MP99, I would say both of them are powerful headlight racquet. However, after using NS8000 for a few weeks, I found that it is an excellent racquet, definitely much much better NS7000. It is highly manuverable, with excellent control and at the same time, powerful as well (of course, not in the same class at Ti-10 or AT700).
i would rate ns7000 best in category #6. control depends alot on your tension first. i think the LS430 JP drives better pete, look at those mp90 ratings
Any way someone could post one of the diagram (you know with the axis which says: double, offensive, single etc..)
