when i watch international players like Lin Dan on tv i'm amazed how easily they cover the court. they make the court look very small.

i'm a right handed player. i've been playing badminton for 5 years but somehow i'm unable to cover the entire court with ease. generally i feel safe on the forehand side but get caught on the backhand side. so i improvise and convert most backhand shots to forehand shots in order to get more power behind the shuttle. due to this my accuracy is lowered.

so, i feel the main problem is my reach. if i could reach the shuttle faster maybe i could improve.

could you please suggest some exercises/ weight training/ routines so that i can improve my reach around the court.

sounds like footwork is your problem, if you don't got badminton shoes, try to get some, other then that, do some footwork drills.
