All of us have seen and played with some amazing rackets. We have heard abt the balance points in Milimeters. Let us say that the balance point of a certain racket is 370Mm.Is this measured from the head of the racket or from the handle side. What would be an ideal balance point for 2U G4 racket which is so called Offensive. This might be pretty elimentary to a lot of plp but i have had a sleepless night yesterday. Thanks for all your replies!
The balance point is measured from the handle end. Normally, the balance point lies in between 290-310 mm. The higher value, the more head heavy is the racquet. An "offensive" racquet usually means head heavy = high balance point. Keep in mind that adding grip affects lowers the balance point. (I doubt a racquet with a balance point of 370 mm, as you suggested, would be very playable!)
You can find the balance point of the racket by yourself by placing the shaft's racket over your finger. After adjusting for a while, you will find that your finger is a fulcrum. Then the balance point of the racker will be more or less around there.
Mag, the range I have seen for balance points is more like 280-310mm, for those manufacturers and retailers that publish this sort of specification. Hope your summer is going well.
If I am not wrong , the highest balance point of a racket in the market now is VT 80 300-305mm. Bros: please share your opinion!
Bump..(since someone already did it and don't want to start a new thread unnecesarily... Since the Voltric 80 is headheavy..does putting medium/thick grip on the handle offers any benifits? I mean.. the grip will lessens/neutralized the head heavy feeling of the racket right?. Does this makes it easier to maneuver and in speeding up the racket on when defenfing or drive? feeling-wise or actual result-wise?
Heard that vt zforce the new racket lee chong Wei is using has an even higher balance point than vt80 anyone know what's the b.p.?
I thought highest balance point racket now us N90 ist generation. (305mm) Correct me if i am wrong .. thanks
Checked some racket selling sites today they state that the voltric zforce b.p ranges from 295mm-305mm. Reviews also claim that zforce is more head heavy, while some others state otherwise. Best is to buy them both and you be the judge
Hi fans : Can any fans share which racket has the highest balancing point now : Z force, Mx 80 , VT 80 , or any others ?
Yeah. I had the same reaction. But it does kinda make sense through, ZF being the most head heavy. Yonex wanted it similar to AT 900p hence why LCW likes it.
ow.. this thread got necro-ed twice.. 330M? must be the wet weight (with string, and grips such as over grip and / or replacement grip) we must measure it in the dry weight (no string and factory grip) this we we can measure teh racket universally without worrying about differences in string weight and grip weight
So far I guess the highest balance point in the market now is MX 80 at 305 ! And also z force/z force ltd at 305 bal point
