On men's singles: qt 1) Lin Dan; Ng Wei; Santoso Simon; Nguyen TM qt 2) Lee HI; Hafiz qt 3) Taufik H; Bao CL qt 4) Lee CW It seems Lee CW gets the best draw. If Nguyen TM enters semifinal, it is just a repeat what he did in the team event. Nguyen > Lee HI > Lin Dan > Taufik > Boonsak Nguyen > Lee HI > Lee CW > Sato Nguyen > Boonsak On men's doubles qt 1) Fu/Cai; Lee/Hwang; Koo/Tan; PRAPAKAMOL/NGENSRISUK qt 2) Kido/Setiawan qt 3) Hadiyanto/Chandra; Guo/Zheng; Lin/Tazari qt 4) Lee/Jung It seems that Kido/Setiawan and Lee/Jung will cruise to the semifinal without any problem. Any one of Fu/Cai, Lee/Hwang, and Koo/Tan come out from qt1 is not a surprise. Either Guo/Zheng or Lin/Tazari sound better than Hadiyanto/Chandra. Both number 1 seeds in singles and doubles (Lin Dan and Fu/Cai) are in the most competitive quarters.
The only unbeatable 1st men's single in team event NGUYEN T. M. is fighting with SANTOSO S. (the only player could be better than Taufik in the eye of indra ) It seems true that Simon has no problem to beat the best 1st single. Simon is leading in the 2nd game with 1:0 in total games. SAPKULCHANANART P. from Thailand, who beat Korea's 2nd stringer Park in the team event, won easily in the first round.
SImon won 21-16, 21-19. Very easy warming up...tomorrow will be Simon's next warming up against LD....
Damn, I would have expected this match to be a three-setter but I guess Nguyen Tien Minh does not know Simon's style and therefore he was not able to effectively counter Simon's strategies.
The question is whether Simon can beat Ng Wei first, and Lindan beat Thai #2 first. There is still a chance even Ng Wei vs Thai #2 who knows. But it is sure now, Lee HI and Hafiz will beat their opponents easily in the round of 32.
LOL...look who's back to give us more rediculous trashtalks! So are you proud of your hero, Taufik Hidayat, who lost twice to Lin Dan already? I wonder what is your excuse for him this time, my dear Indra? By the way, I am not trying to defend Nguyen Tien Minh's loss but a score of 21-16 and 21-19 is fairly close.
What time will LCW be playing? I do not appear to see his name or Lin Dan's in today's schedule. Am I missing something?
The group format is "very ridiculous"...INA was "robbed" by the wierd group format....Anyhow, what is done is done The real competition will be in the individual one....
Hmmm... I thought you said the group format hurt China more than Indonesia, as Indonesia was going to dominate China... You sure change your mind rather quickly... BTW, is Indonesia still going to win at least 4 badminton gold metals this Asian game???
Yes....4 GOLDS (Taufik/Simon, Markis/Hendra, Nova/Butet) and the other one is ...please scroll down scroll down scroll down Nana
Indra, you are the best this forum has to offer!!! That's the best joke I have heard for so long... Nana to beat XXF and ZN to win women's singles!!! LYB will go nuts if that ever happens in this AG...LOL
Well...Nana will only win in Indra's dreamland 2 golds is the maximum that Team INA will possibly get. It's not even certain whether Kido/Hendra could beat Fu/Cai yet again or Nova/Butet beating Zheng/Gao
Much more logical prediction once again... but I honestly would love to see Indra's prediction on the women's singles come true... I would laugh so hard and praise Indra for his superior intelligence!!!
Dude...u claimed in your previous post that INA would crush all opponents including China, regardless of the draw Apparently...it was not to be and now u claimed that INA was "robbed". How could this happen when almost every player (except maybe Luluk/Alvent) were trying their best. I think this was the closest match between Taufik vs Lin Dan. He could have won the first set. Simon was also possibly at his best as he nearly snatched the victory in the first set as well. I think the key is that the Chinese players seem to be more adapt at clinching the crucial points (when ithe scores were 16-12 for Taufik and 18-16 for Simon). As for Luluk/Alvent.....everyone seemed to think that they have an absolute advantage of Guo/Xie, when in fact they have not beaten the Chinese pair for more than a year now. So, I would think that overall, there's an improvement from Team INA. But, they need to replace the second doubles and stop relying on Taufik if they were to regain the Thomas Cup.
