what order did you learn the following techniques? smash backhand smash jump smash doubles serve singles serve clear lift drive drops crosscourt drop deceptive shots footwork
Ok.. here's what I tried to learn in the beginning: 1)the so called 'smash' 2)the so called 'backhand smash' which goes up to the opponent's mid-court. 3)the so called 'jump smash' which was more of a jump, land..; then drive. 4)so called 'deceptive shots' 5)crosscourt drop. Now.. that's when I just began playing badminton as a panhandler.. I just wanted to learn the 'best moves'. Of course, a pan-handled smash isn't really a smash but more of a drive. Here's what I learned when I finally learned the correct grip(s): 1)Backhand serve 2)Forehand serve ( low ) 3)lift ( still improving O_O ) 4)clear 5)smash ( should have learned drop ) ( still improving ) 6)drops/crosscourt drop 7)drive ( still improving ) 8)footwork ( still learning....) 9)deception and crosscourts netdrops ( still trying to improve ) 10)jump smash ( still trying to improve ) 11)backhand smash ( i can sometimes do it, still practising sometimes. ) Did I miss something out ?
what i learned: Grips, Singles serve/Doubles serve Net shots, Lifts Footwork Clears, Drops (all drops) Smash, Drives Deceptive shots, Jump smash, Backhand shots *All the other stuff that i have learned comes in here after the bassics have been covered* I learned it more or less in that order and more so some of the things around the same time. What i reccomend to learn and what i teach when i coach is almost the same order which is that way i listed above but depending on those learning it.
Grips Lifts Footwork (Still doing it) Baseline Clears Drops Smash Crosscourt drops+smashes Net play Deceptive net play Backhand.. we have to learn it ourself.
i was taught: footwork grip clear/drop/cross court drop/smash (they use the same technique) netshots lift (which is a singles serve) drive doubles serve deceptive shots jump smash
i think i will learn the proper grip first becos if gripping is wrong then the contact of the racket and the shuttle will be affect, feel free to visit this blog, always got new post http://allaboutbadmintonblog.blogspot.com/ http://allaboutbadmintontrainingdrills.blogspot.com/
