i can cause a dropping shuttle to stay on the racket instead of bouncing off by moving with the shuttle. is it legal? can u do it?
I dont really get what you mean. If what u mean is example" your opponent hit the shuttle to you when its your service, so u make the shuttle stay on your racket" then theres nothing illegal or legal about it. I think most people can do it.
Wouldn't you find it unfair that your opponent *cought* the shuttle in the air and dropped it right by the net ? Unfair moves are faults.. the s-serve is too.
what if it's a one swing motion..for example - the opponent drops/nets to you and your intentions is to clear so u swing at it but the feathers magically get stuck onto ur string bed and slip free at the last moment and you end up with a drop...if u imagine in a sense its a carry becuz during ur swing it is stuck to ur string bed, on the other hand, ur doin a one swing motion...
If the stroke is one motion, as a previous post said then it is legal. What the OP is describing is moving with the shuttles direction to catch the shuttle, then change the direction to give the shuttle back, this is two motions, therefore illegal. Most people can do this by the way.
