There's a bunch of these, but I particularly like this one: How to Hit a Forehand Stroke Are you ready to unleash a furious attack with your badminton racket? Learn how to hit the forehand in this video clip. God bless America.
http://www.livestrong.com/video/3437-grip-badminton-racket/ I think there will be some furious editing going on on badmintonbible tonight. at 0.07 I'm sure he says badmitten
Very useful set of videos. The key points in the forehand video seem to be: - Hit the bird only when it is below your waist. - Angle your returns upwards at 45 degrees - Follow-through as with a golf swing. - Do not, by any means, rotate your forearm during a swing. I particularly liked that there was a frisbee on the grass behind him...so you can be sure what he was teaching next. Ahhhh, a master in the forgotten sport of Classic Greek Biathlon (badminton-frisbee).
What a joke, this bloke has a very limited knowledge and he doesnt even know the rules. Most of what he says is rubbish!! Why wud any1 take badminton tips from a man outside in the grass wearing no shoes!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoops, I got his name wrong: it's Bob Hunt, from Tampa in Florida. Sorry Bob! Sssshh, keep it quiet. I'm hoping Bob won't recognise my plagiarism. And henceforth, it'll be known as Bob's Badmitten Bible. Yes, it's important to get a run-up for power.
Did he really say "when this game gets fast and there's a bit of wind, it gets difficult" ? Take a look at the 'slow motion' serve on 1:00min of "how to grip a badmitten racket", it's just the worst mishit possible... What a goldmine...
guys, he meant the sport of badmitten, completely different from what we know as badminton clearly he's an expert at badmitten, and not at badminton
well u should see what they wrote below. i got nothing to say. =X About this Author Bob Hunt is a native of Florida, where he was able to cultivate his love of games. Bob has been playing competitive games since he was a small child, and enjoys teaching others the benefits of friendly competition.
http://www.livestrong.com/sports/badminton/articles/ Its got an Ocean of information Mods, do we have a Jokes section?
editorial@livestrong.com That is their editorial email address for those that want to straighten this guy out.
That's how I found them. The 5 things you need to know about badminton grip "article" is clearly plagiarised from the first two pages of my grips guide. It's the old high-school trick of rewriting someone else's essay in your own words.
Wow, I can see the plagiarism. The reasons why you should use proper grip is exactly the same, no originality at all. Even the part about smashes and smash defense. They could have said that proper grip will improve your clear depth just to change it around. So they have one person who knows nothing about badminton giving instructional videos and another who plagiarizes work.
Wow, I'd never noticed the amazing similarity between golf and tennis before. It opens up a whole new way of thinking about badminton. Thanks Gollum for the link, this is truly special!
