i heard from my parents that bbc used some very sneaky and tricky tactics to snatch the lease from smash city, but the smash city owner is planning his revenge. that's all i know for now.
A story gets really jumbled and strays far from the truth when you start a "he said, she said" thing. I know nothing about the story or whatever goes on at each gym. But it would be better if someone from either party would mention something before rumors get out of hand.
I am very close friends with most of the workers, but I am unsure if I am able to tell what really happened. But yes, BBC3 will be coming to the Smash City location and it will be closed down at the end of February or by mid-March.
also heard they re-arranged the court so the side courts are not longer sideways and now have 13 instead of 12 courts.

BBC has a robbins pulastic flooring system at their other locations. It is a dense 11mm rubber system that provides great energy absorption and excellent traction. A floating wood system is very expensive and requires much more upkeep and maintenance. I would think that the pulastic/rubber flooring is going to be the same as their other locations. I wonder if they kept the smash city colors, i really like green gyms.
I believe I heard from my friend who visited there recently said that they moved the pro shop to the lobby area.
Just saw some BBC3 pictures on their facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Burlingame-CA/Bay-Badminton-Center/10564157227. Kind of able to see how the 13 courts are laid out now. It looks quite nice. BTW, anyone worry about those poles being close to one-side of the court?
that's a good layout. better than the old Smashcity layout even though it is less spacious. the old layout is less efficient and the side courts always have visibility issues. the quality of the floor will be consistent with other BBC's which is great. thanks goodness they replaced the old sodium lights. however, from the number of lights present, i think CBA will retain the crown for the best and brightest lit club in the bay area.
I thought you might be one to notice, but those are the old bbc1 gym lights. They upgraded their 1st gym with lights just like ggbc. They are still good, and definitely better than what was at smash city
How about the air conditioning in BBC3? I remembered it was quite hot inside during the summer when it was 100 degree outside.
