Yonex usually comes out with a new high end racket at the beginning of each year. Will it be a nanospeed, arcsaber, or a different new name? Anyone have any info?
Nanospeed 9000 - beginning of 2006 Armortec 900 - beginning of 2007 Arcsaber 10 - beginning of 2008 Nanospeed 9900 - beginning of 2009 Arc z slash was released in summer 2009. That was awhile ago. Yonex will release a high end racket at the beginning of 2010 following their pattern.
I thought it was posted on another thread that there will be a new ARC Limited to celebrate the 100th All England this year. YY already has a flash site for the event. First banner at the top: http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/index.html
not sure if these are Japan specific shoes and strings, but theyre new to me. http://www.yonex.co.jp/10racquets/index.html
I would expect either a low-end or Limited Edition Arc: a) they would be daft to try and supercede the Z so soon after releasing it; b) there isn't much room at the top or in the middle of the Arc range (Arc 8 or 6 seems a bit pointless) and the Nanospeeds now extend into the sub-£50 depths; c) there are already LE of the Nanospeed and Armortec. Thus, I anticipate either an Arcsasber Omega - a platinum-plated beast that is stiffer than NS9000X and balanced at 350 mm - or an Arc 1, 2, or 3.
OK, no lower end ARC this year. So far, we have ARC-Z intro already. ARC5 is for sale in most of the shop already. So, pick a number between 5 and 10 that is not used.
Arcsaber 8? Wouldn't that mean it's a mid-end racket? So no high end racket for February/March? :crying:
WTF? If it is cheaper than ARC10 than it is mid range now? You have 2 numbers to pick, it is not that hard...
The limited editions are just normal arc with a special paint job. It is not meant for a new range with latest technology. Like those of at700 made into a limited edition racket. As for ae limited edition... It will most likely be an arc 10 with different paint job. I say most likely.
